Vice Mayor Valente called the Regular Session to order at 7:30 ROLL CALL
p.m. All members of the Council were present except Mayor Marks
and Councilwoman Nolan.
Vice Mayor Valente gave the invocation and President Pro Tem INVOCATION &

Jim Watt, State Representative, District 80, appeared before
the Council and gave a report on legislation passed during
the 1981 session of the Florida Legislatw-e which affects
local govenm~ents.
Councilman Nbore moved that we authorize the Mayor to write
a letter to our U. S. Senators advising them that we are in
disagree~it with the portion of Senate Bi11 No. 898 which
would deregulate cable television (and urge them to support
deletion of the cable provisions of this bill). The motion
was seconded by President Pro Tem Brawn and all present voted
aye.

Councilman. Moore moved that we accept the recomrendation of
the Planning Comni.ssian to meet with them on August 25, 1981,
at 7:30 p.m. in the conference room of Village Hall. The
motion was seconded by President Pro Tem Brown and all present
voted aye.

President Pro Tem Brown moved that we authorize the Village NPBCC RENOVATIONS
Manager to go to bid for fireproof drapes in the approximate
aununt of $2,800 and to purchase a kitchen broiler in the
approximate amotmt of $1,500 and a deep fryer in the approxi-
mate acmtmt of $800, all expenditures to be expended from
Account No. 63.1-572-62.11 (Ki.tchen Renovations -Bond Pro-
ceeds). Vice Mayor Valente passed the gavel to'President
Pro Tem Brown and seconded the motion. The motion passed

President Pro Tan Brown returned the gavel to Vice Mayor
Valente.
