Mayor Marks called the Special Session to order at
7:30 p.m. All members of the Council were present.
The reason for calling this Special Session this date
was because the business at hand could not wait until
Council`s Regular Session of November 13, 1980.
On motion of President Pro Tem Valente, seconded
by Councilman Brown, all present voting aye,
proposed Resolution No. 56-80 entitled:
A dZESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ACCEPTING THE BID OF --
EMERGENCY ONE, INC., W. O. DOWLING FIRE
EQUIPMENT, FLORIDA REPRESENTATIVE, FOR ONE
CLASS A FIRE TRUCK PUMPER WITH TELESCOPIC 4?ATER
TOWER IN THE AMOUNT OF $129,671.00, TO BE
EXPENDED FROM THE BOND ISSUE
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution
No. 56-80.
Councilman Brown moved that we approve the emergency
purchase of a cash register, Model 220/12, from
Business Machines, Inc. in the amount of $2,040.00
to be expended from ROF Account No. 61.1-581-62.12
(Kitchen Renovations) on the understanding that the
budget will be amended to reflect a line item for
which the expenditure will be made. The motion was
seconded by Councilwoman Nolan and passed 4-1, with
Councilwoman Nolan opposed.
Concerning greens fees at the North Palm Beach
Country Club, Councilman Brown moved that we return
to the summer rates of $10 for residents and $12
for non-residents until December lst, and from December
until May we go to winter fees of $12 for residents
and $15 for non-residents. The motion was seconded
by Vice Mayor Moore and all present voted aye.
