A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, ESTABLISHING RESIDENTIAL YARD
WASTE REMOVAL FEES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, through the adoption of Ordinance 2008-19, the Village Council amended the
Village Code of Ordinances to provide for the assessment of costs against property owners for
violations ofthe residential yazd waste collection requirements set forth in Section 14-31(b); and
WHEREAS, the Village Council wishes to establish such costs by resolution as required by
Section 14-31(d) ofthe Village Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Administration shall assess the following costs against persons who
violate the yazd waste collection requirements as provided in Section 14-31 of the Village Code
of Ordinances:
Disposal Fee:
Equipment and Fuel Costs:
$ 4.50 per cubic yazd
$ 2.50 per cubic yazd
Total per cubic yard:
$ 7.00
In addition to the chazge per cubic yard set forth above, persons who violate the yazd
waste collection requirements shall also be assessed for personnel costs (less benefits) in
the amount of $18.50 per hour based on the actual time incurred in removing the yard
waste, with atwo-hour minimum charge.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
