VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 16, 1977
Present: M. C. Love, Jr., Mayor

Donald J. Kazimir, Councilman

Paul J. Nicoletti, Village Manager
Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk
Mayor Love called the Special Meeting to order at 7:05 ROLL CALL_
p.m. All members of the Council were present.
The purpose of this meeting is to constitute the Council PURPOSE OF
as the .official General Election Canvassing Board for the MEETING
purpose of canvassing the vote of March 15, 1977 in
accordance with Section 12-57 of the Village Code.
On motion of Councilman Moore, seconded by Councilman INSPECTION OF
Kazimir, all present voting aye, the Council inspected STATEMENTS OF
and accepted the Statement of Canvass for the General CANVASS
Election of March 15,-1977 for the following precincts:
Precincts 48 and 53
Precinct 49
Precincts 3.4, 50 and 52
' The official tabulation of machine votes cast in the TAB OF MACHINE
General Election of March 15, 1977 are as follows: VOTES
Village Councilman Group 2:
William H. Brown 1076 votes
Mervin H. McIntyre 678 votes
Village Councilman, Group 4:
Thomas Magill 840 votes
V. A. Marks 927 votes
Following the tabulation of machine votes, the Council ABSENTEE BALLOTS
proceeded to open the absentee ballots which had been COUNTED
received in the office of the Village Clerk. The total
for each candidate then read as follows:
Village Councilman, Group 2:
William H. Brown 1090 votes
Marvin H. McIntyre 688 votes
Village Councilman Group 4:
' Thomas Magill 855 votes
V. A. Marks 936 votes
On motion of Councilman Kazimir, seconded by Council- ACCEPTANCE OF
man Watt, all present voting aye, Council accepted the ABSENTEE BALLOTS
absentee ballots as counted.

On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman RES. 13-77
Moore, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. ADOPTED
13-77 entitled:
' A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE GENERAL
ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 15, 1977
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
13-77.
The Village Clerk administered the Oath of Office to OATHS OF OFFICE
newly elected Councilmen William H. Brown and V. A. AI~IINISTERED
Marks. These oaths are in accordance with Article V,
Section 2-33 of the Village Code, and shall be spread
upon the minutes of the Council.
After William H. Brown took his Oath of Office he W. H. BROWN BE-
became an official member of .the Village Council. COMES OFFICIAL
MEMBER OF COUNCIL
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council, on motion of Vice Mayor Marks, seconded by
Councilman Brown, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
