Mayor Love called the Special Meeting to order at ROLL CALL
7:02 p.m. _All members of the Council were present
except Councilman Greeley.
The purpose of this meeting is to constitute the Council
as the official General Election Canvassing Board for the
purpose of canvassing the vote of March 16, 1976 under
the provisions of the Village Charter and Section 12-57
of the Village Code.
On motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by Vice Mayor
Heraty, all present voting aye, the Council inspected and
accepted the Statement of Canvass for the General Election
of March 16, 1976 for the following precincts:
Precincts 48 and 53
Precinct 49
Precincts 34, 50 and 52
The official tabulation of machine votes cast in the
General Election of March 16, 1976 are as follows:
Village Councilman. Group 1:
Keith Hugus 372 votes
Al Moore 1552 votes
Frances Wilson 522 votes
Village Councilman, Group 3:
Ron Herman 760 votes
M. C. Love, Jr. 1729 votes
Village Councilman, Group 5:

Following the tabulation of machine votes, the Council
proceeded to open the absentee ballots which had been
received in the office of the Village Clerk. The total
for each candidate then read as follows:
Village Councilman, Group l:
Keith Hugus 377 votes
Al Moore 1572 votes
Frances Wilson 527 votes

On motion o£ Councilman Marks, seconded by Councilman
McIntyre, all present voting aye, Council accepted
the absentee ballots as .counted.
On motion o£ Councilman McIntyre, seconded by Councilman
Marks, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No.
14-76 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE
GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 16, 1976
was read in £ull and adopted as read as Resolution No.
14-76.
The Clerk administered the Oath o£ Office to newly
elected Councilmen M. C. Love, Jr., Ronald L.
Heraty and Alvin C. Moore. These oaths are in
accordance with Article III, Section 5, of the
Village Charter and shall be spread upon the minutes
' of the Council.
After Alvin C. Moore took his Oath of Office he became
an official member of the Village Council.
There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Marks, seconded by
Vice Mayor Heraty, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 7:35 p.m.
