SUBJECT: WORKSHOP — Request for approval of a Commercial Planned Unit Development
for North Palm Beach Surgery Center (872 U.S. Highway One)
The Village Administration has received an application from Scott Katzman, Applicant, requesting the
approval of a Commercial Planned Unit Development with an underlying zoning designation of C -IA
(Limited Commercial District) for a 1.2 acre parcel of property at 872 U.S. Highway One, located on
the east side of U.S. Highway One, approximately 450 feet south of the intersection of Yacht Club
Drive and U.S. Highway One.
The applicant requests approval of a Site Plan to allow a 15,561 square foot, two- story Ambulatory
Surgery Center with two waiver requests:

Dr. Katzman specializes both in minimally invasive spine surgery and laser surgery. He has lectured
throughout the world teaching and promulgating his techniques. Dr. Katzman has been helping his
patients with endoscopic and percutaneous discectomy since he was first trained in 1989. He also
performs spinal disc replacements and fusions with a specialized technique that is gentle to the human
tissue.
The Planning Commission discussed this issue on Tuesday, October 20, 2015.
There is no fiscal impact.
