Mayor Colbath called the Regular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL
8:01 p.m. All members of the Council were ',present.
Councilman Greeley gave the invocation and Councilman _ INVOCATION
Slater led the Council and the public in the Pledge & PLEDGE DF
of Allegiance to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE
On motion of Councilman Greeley, seconded by Councilman APPROI7AL OF
Heraty, all present voting aye, the following minutes MINUTES

Palm Beach Country Club Board of Governors held August
21, 1974 were accepted by the Council.

Mayor Colbath, on behalf of the Village of North Palm AWARDS OF
Beach, presented Awards of Merit to Dwight Brooks and MERIT PRE-
Robert Larrabee for valiant effort rendered',to the victims SENTED TO D.
of an accident that occurred on State Road 7,03 on July BROOKS & R.
26, 1974, which resulted in saving one victim's life. LARRABEE
On motion of Vice Mayor Love, seconded by Councilman 20% INCREASE
Greeley - 4 to 1, Councilman Heraty opposed - Council IN MEMBERSHIP
approved a 20% increase in all membership fees of FEES AT NPBCC
the North Palm Beach Country Club. APPROVED
Councilman Greeley moved. that the Cart Fees and the MOTION TO
Greens Fees at the North Palm Beach Country Club APPROVE CART
be approved as follows: FEES &_GREENS
FEES AT
NPBCC
Cart Fees - $10.00 for non-members _
7.00 for members

Greens Fees $10.00 in season

The motion was seconded by Councilman Heraty;and
passed 4 to 1, with Mayor Colbath opposed.
Vice Mayor Love, being on the prevailing side, moved MOTION TO RE-
to reconsider the vote on the motion for Cart Fees CONSIDER
and Greens Fees because he misunderstood what the
motion was.

Vice Mayor Love moved to amend the motion as follows:

Greens Fees - $10.00 for non-residents in season
8.00 for residents iri season
8.00 for non-residents non-season
5.00 for residents non-season
The motion to amend was seconded by Councilman Heraty
and failed 3 to 2, with Mayor Colbath, Councilman Greeley
and Councilman Slater opposed.
Thereafter Council voted on the main motion which passed
3 to 2, with Mayor Colbath and Vice Mayor Love opposed.
Councilman Greeley moved that as of October~l, 1974.
Golfing and Full Club Memberships are closed, and they
will not be reopened until the Golfing and Fu11 Club
Memberships reach 649, at which time the membership
is open for one member. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Slater.

Vice Mayor Love instructed the Village Clerk to include VLCE MAYOR

The primary reason for my opposition to 'the
membership cap is because it is discriminatory
against the residents of North Palm Beach, since
we still have non-resident members. It will also ---
hinder the attraction of new residents to North
Palm Beach.
Councilman Greeley moved that any foursome of greens MOTION ON

of a member, must take a cart, and that greens fees PLAYERS DIED

by Councilman Heraty, all present voting aye, the
meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
