03-26-1974 VC SP-MMINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD TUESDAY, MARCH 26, 1974 Present: Robert W.'Martin, President Pro Tem ' Walter N.'Colbath, Jr., Councilman William A: Greeley, Councilman M. C. Love, Jr., Councilman Dolores R: Walker, Village Clerk Absent: Robert F. 'Slater, Councilman i President Pro Tem Martin called the Special Meeting to ROLL CALL order at 8:00 p.m. All members of the Council were present except Councilman Slater. The purpose of this Special Meeting is to constitute the PURPOSE OF Council as the official Runoff Election Canvassing Board MEETING for the purpose of canvassing the vote of March 26, 1974, under the provisions of the Village Charter: and Section 12-57 of the Village Code. Council inspected the Statement of Canvass for the Runoff Election of March 26, 1974 for Precincts 48; 53, 49, 34, 50 and 52. The Clerk read the official cast in the Runoff Election are as follows: tabulation of machine votes of March 26, 1974 and these Village Councilman, Group 5 Ronald L. Heraty 827 votes V. A. Marks 628 votes , Following the tabulation of machine votes, Council proceeded to open the absentee ballots whicl-1 had been received in the office of the Village Clerk: The Clerk then read a total for each candidate as follows: Village Councilman Group 5 Ronald L. Heraty 829 votes V. A. Marks 634 votes On motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded by Councilman Greeley, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No 9-74 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESULTS OF THE RUNOFF ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 26, 1974 was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 9-74. INSPECTION OF STATEMENTS OF CANVASS TAB OF MACHINE VOTES - ABSENTEE BALLOTS COUNTED RES. 9-74 ADOPTED Clerk administered Oath of Office to newly elected OATH OF OFFICE Councilman Ronald L. Heraty.
