Mayor Privett called the Special Meeting to 'order at
7:18 p.m. All members of the Council were_present.
This meeting was called. to order in the con~'erence room
of Village Hall because the Village court session was
still in progress in the Council Chambers. ',
Mayor Privett stated that the purpose of this meeting
is to constitute the Council as the official General
Election Canvassing Board for the purpose of canvassing
the vote of March 19, 1974, under the provisions of the
Village Charter and Section 12-57 of the Village Code.
Council inspected the Statement of Canvass for the General
Election on March 19, 1974 for Precincts 48; 53, 49, 34,
50 and 52.
The Clerk read the official tabulation of machine votes
cast in the General Election on March 19, 1974 and these
are as follows: I

proceeded to open the absentee ballots which had been

The Council moved into the Council Chambers', at 7:35 p.m.,
after completion of reading the absentee ballots.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution
No. 8-74 entitled: I
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF~NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING THE RESTILTS OF
THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MARCH 19,,1974
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution
No. 8-74.
' Clerk administered Oath of Office to newly elected
Councilmen William A. Greeley and M. C. Love, Jr.
This oath is in accordance with Article III; Section
5, of the Village Charter and shall be spread upon
the minutes of the Council.
Loyalty Oaths were read and signed by Councilmen
William A. Greeley and M. C. Love, Jr, These oaths
are required by Florida Statutes 876.05 and ',shall
be spread upon the minutes of the Council.
After the newly elected Councilmen took their Oaths
of Office and signed their Loyalty Oaths, they became
official members of the Council. Mayor Privett turned
the gavel over to President Pro Tem, R. W. Martin, and
he and Vice Mayor Cadby vacated their places at the
Council table, at which time Councilmen William A.
Greeley and M. C. Love, Jr. took their respective
places at the Council table,
There being no further business to come before the
Council at this Special Meeting, on motion of Council-
man Colbath, seconded by Councilman Slater,~all present
voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 7:5'.2 p.m.
