Mayor Colbath called the Regular Meeting to order at 8:01 ROLL CALL
p.m. All members of the Council .were present.
Vice Mayor Love gave the invocation and Councilman Heraty INVOCATION &
led the Council and the public in the Pledge o£ Allegiance PLEDGE OF
to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE
On motion of Councilman Heraty, seconded by Councilman APPROVAL OF
Greeley, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular MINUTES
Meeting held Thursday, May 23, 1974 were approved as
written.
Mrs. Betty French, ]13 N. Anchorage Drive, presented a ABOVE GROUND
petition containing 540 signatures to the Village. Council, SWIMbtING
which requested that the Council change the~Village POOLS
ordinance concerning above ground swimming pools. Our
' present ordinance prohibits these pools in the Village:
The following persons spoke in favor of the ordinance
change: ',
Mr. L. A. Lee, 413 Gulf Road
Mr. R. Neron, 900 Ironwood-Road -
Mr. Thomas French, 113 N. Anchorage Drive _, _
The following persons were opposed to a change in ___

Mr. Thomas Boyle, 1208 Marine Way
Mr. Don Kazimir, 106 Gulfstream Road
The Council stated that they will address themselves
to this matter and will make a determination.
Mr. Walter Groves, 712 Gumtree Road, appeared before the REQUEST
TO
Council, requesting a special exception to our animal- _
KEEP COUGAR
control ordinance to keep at his home a cougar as a pet. AS A PET
Since Mr. Groves did not have a valid county license
for this cougar, the Council took no action'lon his ---
request at this time.

On motion of Councilman Heraty, seconded by Councilman
Greeley, all present voting aye, that the Minutes of
Special Meeting of Planning and Zoning Advisory Board
held May 29, 1974 be tabled until they are put in
technically correct language in conformity with our
' Village Attorney's instructions.
Bill No. 203 was advertised in the WeekDay newspaper
on Thursday, May 16, 1974.
On motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by Vice Mayor
Love, all present voting aye, Bill. No. 203. ;entitled.:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 34 OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY PROHIBITING PAINTED WALL
SIGNS IN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH
was placed on second reading and read by title only.
On motion of Vice Mayor Love, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, Bill No. 203 was
adopted as Ordinance No. 8-74.
Bill No. 205 was advertised in the Palm Beach Post
on Friday, May 31, 1974.
On motion of Councilman Greeley, seconded by Vice
Mayor Love, all present voting aye, Bill No:, 205

AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, SETTING FORTH THE PLANNED USE 'OF FUNDS
RECEIVED UNDER THE STATE AND LOCAL FISCAL ASSISTANCE
ACT OF 1972, INCLUDING AN ESTIMATE OF INCOME TO BE
RECEIVED AND THE SPECIFIC AMOUNTS AND ISURPOSES FOR
WHICH THE VILLAGE INTENDS TO SPEND THE ,FUNDS WHICH
IT EXPECTS TO RECEIVE FOR THE FIFTH ENTITLEMENT
PERIOD ENDING JUNE 30, 1975

as Ordinance No. 9-74.
Ordinance No. 9-74 was adopted on an emergency basis,
since the business could not be held over until the
next regular meeting of the Village Council.'..
