07-11-1974 VC REG-MMINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, JULY 11, 1574 t Present: Walter N.:Colbath, Jr., Mayor _ M. C. Love, Jr., Vice Mayor __ William A: Greeley, Councilman Ronald L.:Heraty, Councilman Robert F.;Slater, Councilman Herbert L: Gildan, Village Attorney Lawrence J_ Robbins, Village Manager Dolores R: Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Colbath called the Regular Meeting to order at 8:16 p.m. All members of the Council wereipresent. On motion of Councilman Heraty, seconded by, Councilman Greeley, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular Meeting held Thursday, June 27, 1974 were a~iproved as written. On motion of Councilman Greeley, seconded by Councilman Heraty, all present voting aye, the minutes, of Community Appearance Board meeting held July 2, 1974 were accepted. On motion of Councilman Heraty, seconded byiCouncilman Greeley, all present voting aye, Bill No. 2b6 entitled: AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, THE ZONING CODE? BY SETTING BUILDING TIEIGHT RESTRICTIONS THROUGHOUT' THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH was placed on second reading and read by title alone. Vice Mayor Love moved that Bi11 No. 206 be adopted as Ordinance No. 11-74. The motion was seconded by Council- man Heraty. i Councilman Heraty moved that Section 1, Subsection (M) of Bill No. 206 be amended as follows: i M. BUILDING HEIGHT REGULATIONS (1) Sixteen stories or 160 feet. (2) Twenty two stories or 220 feet. (3) Thirteen stories or 130 feet. 1 (GF) Four stories or forty feet. The motion was seconded by Councilman Slater and passed 3 to 2, with Vice Mayor Love and Councilman Greeley opposed. ROLL CALL APPROVAL OF MINUTES ACCEPTANCE OF MINUTES BIS,L 206 PLACED ON 2ND READING MOTION TO ADOPT BILL 206 AS ORD. ll-74 BILL 206 AMENDED u 1 Minutes of Regular Meeting Held Thursday, July 11, 1974 Page 2 Vice Mayor Love moved to .amend the amendment by eliminating the reference to the number of stories. The motion died for lack of a second. Thereafter Council voted on the main motion which passed 3 to 2, with Vice Mayor Love and Councilman Greeley opposed.. Therefore, Bill No. 206 was adopted as amended as Ordinance No. 11-74. ' On motion of Councilman Greeley, seconded b'y Councilman Slater; all present voting aye., that we authorize the Village Manager to go out for bids on new chairs for the North Palm Beach Country Club dining rdom. i On motion of Councilman Greeley, seconded bey Councilman Heraty, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 43-74 entitled: ' i A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBER TO THE NORTH PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB BOARD OF GOVERNORS TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM OF SCOTT HOOD, WHO RESIGNED _- was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 43-74. On motion of Councilman Heraty, seconded by Councilman Greeley, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No 4~F-74 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OE NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBER TO xHE VILLAGE BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 44-74.
