Mayor Colbath called the Public Hearing to order at - -ROLL CALL
7:30 p.m. All members of the Council were present.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to hear the PURPOSE--OF
comments of the public on Bill No. 215, which would PUBLIC HEARING
amend Chapter 45 of the Village of North Palm Beach
Code by zoning certain land lying East of U. S. High-
way No. 1 and. South of part of Yacht Club Addition to
the Village of North Palm Beach, which land lies directly
East of the Bench Mark Building on II. S. Highway No. 1
in the Village of North Palm Beach, to Zoning District
C-A, and. placing a parcel of land adjacent thereto and _-
due east of the first parcel in Zoning District R-l.
Legal Notice of this Public Hearing was published in the LEGAL NOTICE
Palm Beach Post on November 25, 1974 and posted as re-
quired by Village Charter.

Mayor Colbath advised Mr. Boose that the Council would
hold Mr. Taylor to the representations made in his
letter of August 13,-1974 to Mr. Gildan, and that
this letter, as well as the surveys of the subject

property, will be made a part of the ordinance.
' Col. Grossman, 124 Atlantic Road, wanted to know exactly
what Mr. Taylor means by the west end of the canal. His
interpretation of the information submitted by Mr. Taylor
was that the west end of the canal would wind up being
only 72 ft. wide rather than 80 ft. wide. Mr. Grossman
was assured by the Council that the width of the canal
would be no less than 80 ft. for the entire length of
the canal. This 80 ft. requirement is set forth by
Village ordinance and must be adhered, to.
Mr. Thomas L. Brown, the attorney representing Mr. Vincent
Vanacore, stated he felt the Council should postpone action
on this proposed ordinance until the civil-action suit of
Winters vs. Village of North Palm Beach has been adjudicated.
He also stated that he did. not feel the Council should zone
the subject property until they find out who the owner is.
There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
the Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:07 p.m.
