Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL
8:05 p.m. All members of the Council were~',present
except Vice Mayor Cadby.

On motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, May 24, 1973 and the minutes of
Public Hearing held Thursday, June 7, 1973'iwere approved
as written. '
Council directed the Clerk to note in the minutes of
this meeting that the minutes of Community 'Appearance
Board meeting previously accepted on May 10, 1973
which were dated April 1, 1973 should liave~been dated
May 1, 1973.
On motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded b~,y Councilman --

Martin, all present voting aye, Bill No. 179 entitled:

FLORIDA, SETTING FORTH THE PLANNED USE, OF FUNDS
RECEIVED UNDER THE STATE AND LOCAL FISCAL
ASSISTANCE ACT OP 1972, INCLUDING AN ESTIMATE
OF INCOME TO BE RECEIVED AND THE SPECIFIC AMOUNTS
AND PURPOSES FOR WHICH THE VILLAGE INTENDS TO SPEND

Councilman Martin moved that Bill No. 179 be adopted
as Ordinance No. 5-73. The motion was seconded by
Councilman Colbath.
' On motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, that Bill No. 179 be
amended by substituting the following words for the
entire bill from beginning through ,Section'', 3. `
"Section 1. The Village of North Palm',Beach has
received the sum of $43,672.00 from the State and
Local Fiscal Assistance Act of 1972, Title I of
Public Law 91-512; approved October 20, 1972, "--
for the first two Entitlement Periodsending __
December 31, 19,72 and expects to receive the sum
of $26,498.00 by virtue of said Act for the third
Entitlement Period ending June 30, 197,3.
Section 2. The Village of North Pa1m~Beach intends
to spend the following specific amounts for the
purposes set forth next to the amounts for the .-
first two Entitlement Periods, and said .amounts _-
are hereby appropriated for said purposes-
Traffic Control Signal at North
Anchorage Drive and U._S, Highway',

Section 3. The Village of North Palm Beach, Florida

ThereaFter Council voted on the main motion', which passed
unanimously. Therefore, Bill No. 179 was adopted as
amended as Ordinance No. 5-73.
On motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, Bill No. 180 entitled:-
' AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 11 OF THE NORTH PALM
BEACH CODE BY PERMITTING PIERS FOR COMMERCIAL
MARINAS TO EXTEND WATERSIDE OF BULKi--D;ADS OR LAND
A DISTANCE NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-FIVE FEET, AND
SETTING FORTH RESTRICTIONS THEREON

Martin, all present voting aye, Bill No. 1~0 was
adopted as Ordinance No. 6-73.
' On motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, Bill No. 181 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, RELATING TO ABANDONED, WRECKED, JUNKED
AND DISMANTLED MOTOR VEHICLES, BOATS,~,TRAILERS,
MACHINERY, APPLIANCES, PLUMBING FIXTU~tES, OR
SIMILAR ARTICLES; PROHIBITING THE STORAGE,
REPAIR OR DISMANTLING THEREOF ON PUBLIC OR --
PRIVATE PROPERTY; DECLARING THE SAME TO BE
A NUISANCE; PROVIDING FOR THE ABATEMENT OF
SUCH NUISANCES; AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR
THE VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE

FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 4 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH .
PALM BEACH CODE, BY SETTING FORTH A MINIMUM COST
FOR RETRIEVING A DOG OR CAT FROM L~IPOUNDMENT, AND
BY CHANGING THE TIME DURING WHICH AN ANIMAL MAY
' BE IMPOUNDED UNDER MUNICIPAL AUSPICES~,TO FORTY-EIGHT
HOURS
was placed on first reading and read in full.
Councilman Slater moved that the Village Manager be
directed to reserve the remainder of spaces in the
new dry storage area for recreational vehicles other
than boats. The motion was seconded by Councilman
Martin.
Martin, all present voting aye, that we authorize the
Village Treasurer to pay $48.84 to Mr. & Mrs. James
W. Frevert to replace their range top which was in-
advertently collected as trash, said fundslto come
from Account No. OS-500.
There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Colbath, seconded
by Councilman Martin, all presen t voting aye, the
meeting was adjourned at 10:40 p .m.
