Absent: Thomas B. Rhodes, Councilman
Mayor Privett called the Public Hearing to order at
8:00 p.m. and asked-the Clerk to call the roll, all
members being present except Councilman Rhodes..
The purpose of this Public Hearing was to hear the comments
o£ the public with regard to Bill No. 167. This bill
amends Chapter 45 o£`the Village of North Palm Beach Code
by amending the rear_and side yarcTYsetback regulations in
Zoning District C-1. _-
Clerk read legal notice of_this Public Hearing which was
published in the Palm Beacl-i Post Times on August 30, 1972
and posted as required by Village Charter.
Clerk read Bill No. 167 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH CODE, BY AMENDING THE REAR AND
SIDE YARD SETBACK REGULATIONS IN ZONING DISTRICT
C-1 TO REQUIRE SINGLE FAMILY AND MULTIPLE. FAMILY
RESIDENTIAL DWELLING STRUCTURES TO HAVE THE SAME
REAR AND SIDE YARD SETBACK REGULATIONS AS IS
REQUIRED IN ZONING DISTRICT R-1 AND R-3,
RESPECTIVELY, AND PROVIDING EXCEPTIONS THERETO
in total.
Mayor Privett asked i£ there were any comments from the
Council on Bill No. 167, and Councilman Slater stated
that he was opposed to this bill.
Mayor Privett asked if there were any comments £rom the
public on Bill No. 167. Attorney Ronald Sales; representing
the developers of Old Port Cove, objected to this bill
because of the e££ect it would have on the Old Port Cove
property.
There being no Further business to come before .the
' Council at this Public Hearing, on motion o£ Vice
Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman Martin, all present
voting aye, the Public Hearing was adjourned at 8:57 p.m.
