Mayor Privett called the ILe~ilar Meeting to order at 8:08 ROLL CALL
p.m. and asked the.-Clerk to_call the roll, all members being
present except Councilmari_Martin.
Mayor Privett gav~_the inv6ca~ion and Councilman Rhodes
led the Council and the`pu7~lic_in the Pledge of Allegiance
to the Flag. -`
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, September 28, 1972 were approved
as amended.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes of Public
Hearing held Thursday, October 12, 1972 were approved
as amended.
Mayor Privett read the proclamation on Fire :Prevention
Month.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes of Board
of Governors meeting held September 20, 1972. were
accepted.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, Bill No. 168. entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, REQUIRING BUILDINGS TO BE SET ,BACK A
MINIMUM OF FIFTY FEET FROM THE DUNE LINE OR A MINIMUM
OF ONE HUNDRBD FEET FROM THE HIGHWATER MARK, WHICHEVER
DISTANCE IS GREATER, FOR ALL PROPERTY BORDERING ON THE
ATLANTIC OCEAN
' was placed on second reading and read by title alone.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, Bill No. 168 was adopted
as Ordinance No. 23-72.

FLORIDA, LEVYING A TAX ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY.
LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER 31, 1972,
FIXING THE TOTAL VALUATION THEREON AND THE TAX MILEAGE
RATE THEREON FOR SAID YEAR; ADOPTING A FISCAL BUDGET
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR NOVEMBER 1, 1972 TO OCTOBER 31,
1973, BOTH INCLUSIVE, FOR THE GENERAL GOVERNMENT AND
DEBT SERVICE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH AND ----

Vice Mayor Cadby moved that Bi11 No. 170 be adopted as MOTION TO
Ordinance No. 2~F-72. The motion was seconded by ADOPT BILL
Councilman Rhodes. 170 AS ORD.

Rhodes - 3 to 1, Councilman Slater opposed - that _

Bill No. 170 be amended by adding thereto, after the .

and by amending the total set forth as the Total
Assessed Valuation to now read $103,179,857; and
by amending Section 2 of the ordinance by changing
the millage in two places from 8.2 to 7.7 mills; and
further by amending Exhibits A, B, C, D and .E attached
to the ordinance by substitute pages as are ;presently
attached to the ordinance.
Thereafter, Council voted on the main motion which BILL 170
passed 3 to 1, Councilman Slater opposed. Therefore, ADOPTED AS
Bill No. 170 was adopted as amended as Ordinance No. AMENDED AS
24-72. ORD. 24-72
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman RES. 39-72
Rhodes, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution ADOPTED
No. 39-72 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBER TO THE VILLAGE
BEAUTIFICATION COMMITTEE TO FILL THE UNEXPIRED TERM
OF R. K. CAMPBELL, WHO RESIGNED
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution
No. 39-72.

On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that we approve the
membership fees for Golf and Full Club, Cart Fees,
Greens Fees and Locker Fees as set forth on the forms
attached and made a part of the minutes of this meeting,
plus Pool Membership Fees as follows:
Resident - Single Membership $125.00
Resident - Family Membership $150.00
Non-resident - Single Membership $175.00
Non-resident - Family Membership $230.00
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes - 3 to 1, Councilman Slater oppo sed - that we
continue the policy of giving Resident Social Members
a $2.00 reduction in greens fees a maximum of six times
a year.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that the recommendations
of C. R. O'Meilia, as per memo dated October 12, 1972.
to be attached to the minutes of this meeting, be
approved, and that the Village Manager be authorized
to issue purchase orders in accordance with these
recommendations.
' On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, that George Kane be
removed from the North Palm Beach Country Club Board
of Governors.
There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by
Councilman Rhodes, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:45 p.m.
