VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

THURSDAY, JULY 27, 1972

Absent: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor
Ronald B. Cadby, Vice Mayor
President Pro Tem Martin called the Regular Meeting to ROLL CALL
order at 8:05 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll,
all members being present except Mayor Privett and
Vice Mayor Cadby.
President Pro Tem Martin gave the invocation and
Councilman Rhodes led the Council and the public in
the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag.
On motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, the minutes-of Public
Hearing on Bill No. 160 held Thursday, July 13, 1972;
the minutes of Public Hearing on Bill No. 159 held
Thursday, July 13, 1972; and the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday,-July 13, 1972 were approved
as written.
On motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the following minutes
were accepted by the Council:
Minutes of Special Meeting of Planning, and Zoning
Advisory Board held June 21, 1972
Minutes of Regular Meeting of Planning and Zoning
Advisory Board held July 12, 1972
Minutes of Special Meeting of Planning and Zoning

On motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, that we modify the agenda
to take up Bill No. 159 under "OrdinancesTM at this time.
President Pro Tem Martin asked the Clerk to read re-
' vised Bill No. 159 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING CHAPTER 45 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH CODE, BY AMENDING THE REAR AND SIDE YARD
SETBACK REGULATIONS IN ZONING DISTRICT C-1 TO REQUIRE
SINGLE FAMILY AND MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL DWELLING
STRUCTURES TO HAVE THE SAME YARD SPACE REGULATIONS
AS IS REQUIRED IN ZONING DISTRICT R-1 AND R-3,
RESPECTIVELY, AND PROVIDING EXCEPTIONS THERETO
in total so that the public would know what-the Council
was considering.
Councilman Rhodes-moved that revised Bill No. 159 be placed
on First reading and read in full. The motion died for
lack of a second.
Councilman Rhodes moved that we postpone action on re-
vised Bill No. 159-until the next regular meeting of the
Village Council. The motion died for lack of a second.
' On motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by Councilman ---
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that we authorize the
Village Manager to add one person to the Department
of Public Safety for this fiscal year.
On motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, the financial statements
for the Village and for the North Palm Beach Country
Club for the period ending June 30, 1972 were accepted.
On motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that the name of Oscar
Welch be placed on the proposed Resolution appointing
an Alternate Member to the Board of Adjustment.
On motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by'Councilman
Slater, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution
No. 30-72 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING ALTERNATE MEMBER TO THE
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM
BEACH
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
30-72.
There being no further business to come befgre the
Council, on motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by
Councilman Slater, all present voting-aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:35 p.m.
