Mayor Privett called tha.R~gular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL
8:20 p.m. and asked the_Clerk to call the roll, all
members being present.
Councilman Rhodes gave the invocation and Councilman INVOCATION &
Slater led the Council and the public in the Pledge of PLEDGE OF
Allegiance to the Flag. ALLEGIANCE
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by 'Councilman APPROVAL OF
Martin, all present voting aye, the Minutes of Public MINUTES
Hearing on Bill 136 held Thursday, September 23, 1971; --
the Minutes of Public Hearing on Bill 138 Held Thursday,
September 23, 1971; the Minutes of Workshop Meeting held
Thursday, October 7, 1971 were approved as written; and
the Minutes of Regular Meeting held Thursday, September
23, 1971 and the Minutes of Special Meeting held Thurs-
day, October 7, 1971 were approved as amended.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman ACCEPTANCE
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the Minutes of Board OF MINUTES
of Governors Meeting held Wednesday, August 18, 1971
and the Minutes of Beautification Committee Meeting
held September 22, 1971 were accepted.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman RECESS
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that Council recess
for five minutes.
The meeting was recessed at 9:26 p.m. and reconvened
at 9:35 p.m.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, LEVYING A TAX ON REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
LOCATED WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH FOR THE YEAR ENDING DECEMBER
31, 1971, FIXING THE TOTAL VALUATION THEREON AND THE
TAX MILEAGE RATE THEREON FOR SAID YEAR; ADOPTING A
FISCAL BUDGET FOR THE FISCAL YEAR NOVEMBER 1, 1971
' TO OCTOBER 31, 1972, INCLUSIVE, FOR THE GENERAL
GOVERNMENT AND DEBT SERVICE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH AND FOR THE PARTICULAR USE OF THE NORTH

Vice Mayor Cadby moved that Bill No. 139 be adopted
as Ordinance No. 18-71. Motion was seconded by
Councilman Martin.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that Bill No. 139 be
amended 'to include the property assessment figures as
received from the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor as
follows:

On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Ceuncil-
man Slater, all present voting aye, that Bill No.
139 be amended by changing the millage from,8.8 mills
' to 8.7 mills throughout.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, that Bill No. 139 be
amended to include new Exhibits A through E as now
attached rather than Exhibits A through E that were
attached on first reading. '
Thereafter Council voted on the main motion which
passed S - 0. Therefore, Bi11 No. 139 was adopted
as amended as Ordinance No. 18-71 by unanimous vote
of the Council.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, Bill No. 14Q entitled
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AMENDING PORTIONS OF ORDINANCE N0.
219-70, CONCERNING DETAILED APPROPRIATIONS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1970-71

1971, WHICH BILL PROPOSES AN AMENDMENT TO THE CON-

On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, that we direct the Manager
to file application for redetermination to continue the
exemption of the Village of North Palm Beach from being
required to provide unemployment compensation insurance
coverage on all Village and Country Club employees.
There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by
Councilman Slater, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 11:45 p.m.
