05-27-1971 VC PH-MMINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, MAY 27, 1971 1 f Present: H. Mallory Privett, Jr., Mayor Ronald-B. Cadby, Vice-Mayor- Robert W. Martin, Councilman -- Thomas B. Rhodes, Counci.]mari Robert F. Slater, Councilman Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Privett called the Public Hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all members being present except Councilman Slater, who arrived at 7:37 p.m. Mayor Privett stated that the purpose of this Public Hearing is to consider Bill No.-125, which had been placed on first reading April 22, 1971. This bill concerns a change in zoning from R-1 to R-2 of a single lot in the Fairhaven Addition of North Palm Beach. Clerk read legal notice of this Public Hearing, which was published in the Palm Beach Post on May 9, 1971 and posted as required by Village Charter. A notice of the Public Hearing on this proposed change in zoning was sent to all the adjacent property owners within 200 feet of the lot in question. Clerk read Bill No. 125 entitled: _ -ROLL CALL .PURPOSE OF PUBLIC HEARING LEGAL NOTICE READ .NOTICE SENT TO ADJACENT PROPERTY OWN- ERS BILL 125 READ IDT TOTAL AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING SECTION 45-17 OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH CODE BY REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM R-1 SINGLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT AND RE- CLASSIFYING SAID PROPERTY R-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; BY DIRECTING THE CLERK TO BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE; BY PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES OR CODE PROVISIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES 1 in total. Mayor Privett stated he had received a letter from Mr. & Mrs. Jeffcott who are opposed to this change, and a letter from Mr. Warren Tatoul who is in fauor of the change. Clerk read the letter from Mr. Warren Tatoul to the Village Council relative to the property in question and also read the attached fact sheet.
