❑ Freediving certification course consists of both classroom and in -water
instruction.
❑ The ability to construct a training pool on the site is a prerequisite to
Florida Freedivers' interest in acquiring the property.
❑ The unique nature of the proposed training pool within the NBOZ and
zoning districts requires consideration as a Similar Use.
❑ The proposed use is similar to personal service uses, which are
permitted by right within the NBOZ and C -1 districts (e.g. barber
shops, beauty salons, nail salons, tanning salons, and art and music
schools).

NBOZ WAIVER REQUESTS
❑ Waivers are requested from six (6) of the NBOZ landscape standards.
❑ Waivers necessary due to existing configuration of property and
impacts that bringing the project into complete compliance would
have on existing parking and drive aisles.
❑ Project goal is to make as many improvements as possible in an
attempt to bring the site into compliance with code requirements.
❑ Development team has balanced the code requirements within the
confines of the existing site constraints.
