On motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, June 24, 1971 were approved as
written.
Mayor Privett presented placques to former Vice Mayor
Thomas R. Bell and former Councilman Herbert A. Watt
in recognition of their community service while serving
on the Village Council.
The Mayor also presented Certificates of Appreciation to
Robert W. Martin, George Baldwin and Everett R. Miller,
Jr. for their past service on the North Palm Beach
Country Club Board of Governors; Jerome Wedekind and
Robert F. Slater for their past service on the Planning
and Zoning Advisory Board; Mrs. Charles McCxaney for
her past service on the Recreation Advisory Board;
and Mrs. Dwight Green for her past service on the Beauti-
fication Committee. Certificates of Appreciation for
the following will be delivered to their homes, since
they were unable to attend this meeting to receive
them: James E. Taylor, R. M. Taylor, former members
of the North Palm Beach Country Club Board of Governors;
Mrs. Patricia Junod, former member of the Planning and
Zoning Advisory Board; and James Gill, former member
of the Library Board.
Mayor Privett stated that he had met earlier this
evening with Mr. Larry Mixon of Southern Bell, con-
cerning an increase in telephone rates. Mr. Mixon
wanted to explain why Southern Bell was asking for an
increase in rates. He gave the Mayor a booklet ex-
plaining the reasons for the rate increase, and the
Mayor will pass this booklet along to the other mem-
bers of the Council.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes of Board
Governors meeting held June 16, 1971, and the minutes
of workshop meeting of the Board of Governors held
June 23, 1971 were accepted.

DELINQUENT- COUNTRY CLUB ACCOUNTS TO THOSE ACCOUNTS
OF TEN DOLLARS OR MORE

Vice Mayor Cadby made a motion that Bill No. 131 be MOTION TO ADOPT

Vice Mayor Cadby made a motion that proposed Ordinance ORD. 9-71 Ai~4ENDED
No. 9-71 be amended as follows:
That we add the words, "Effective November 1,
1971," at the beginning of subparagraphs (1)
and (2) .
Motion was seconded by Councilman Martin. ,All present
voted aye; therefore, motion passed unanimously.
Thereafter Council voted on the main motion which passed ORD. 9-71 ADOPTED
5 - 0. Therefore, proposed Ordinance_No. 9-71 was adopted AS AMENDED
as amended as Ordinance No. 9-71 by unanimous vote of the
Council.
There being no further business to come before the ADJOURNMENT
Council, on motion of Councilman Slater, seconded by
Councilman Rhodes, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:40 p.m.
