a Mayor Privett called the Regular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL
8:00 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, all
members being present except Councilman Slater, who is
on vacation.
Mayor Privett gave the invocation and Vice Mayor Cadby
led the Council and the public in the Pledge of Allegi-
ance to the Flag.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular
Meeting held Thursday, July 8, 1971 were approved as
amended.
Mayor Privett stated that he had been in communication
with the School Board of Palm Beach County ,regarding
the change of school boundaries within the Village of
North Palm Beach, due to the large number o:f contacts
he had received from concerned Village residents.
Mr. Richard Long of the Florida Department :of Trans-
portation, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, appeared before
the Council to give a dissertation on a new Federal-
Aid Highway Program -- the "Federal-Aid Highway Act
of 1970." Mr. Long displayed a map to the Council
relative to this urban system, and left a copy of the
Act which will be in the office of the Village Clerk
for the Council's perusal.
On motion of Councilman Rhodes, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all-present voting aye, that the Mayor be
authorized to ratify the original copy of the Depart-
ment of Transportation finalized urban system so long
as the final map conforms to the map presented to us
this evening.
On motion of Vice Mayor Cadby, seconded by Councilman
Martin, all present voting aye, the minutes. of Recrea-
tion Advisory Board meeting held June 2, 1971, and
the minutes of Recreation Advisory Board meeting held
July 13, 1971 were accepted.

DANCE OF THE CLUB MANAGER AT REGULAR MEETINGS OF
THE VILLAGE COUNCIL TO THE SECOND REGULAR MEETING
OF THE MONTH
was placed on first reading and read in full.
On motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by Councilman
Rhodes, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution
No. 17-71 entitled: _
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING RULES AND REGULATIONS
GOVERNING PERSONS USING THE FACILITIES OF THE NORTH
PALM BEACH COUNTRY CLUB __

was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No.
17-71.
On motion of Councilman-Martin; seconded by Vice Mayor
Cadby, all present voting aye, that the Village Attorney
be directed to defend the Village. and its officials
in the appeal of the suit of the Village o£ North Palm
Beach vs. 0 P Corporation, and also the. suit o£ 0 P ___
Corporation against the Village of North Palm Beach
and certain of its officials.
There being no further business to come before the
Council, on motion of Councilman Martin, seconded by
Vice Mayor Cadby, all present voting aye, the meeting
was adjourned at 10:12 p.m.
