Absent: Thomas F. Lewis, Mayor
Vice-Mayor Be11 called the Regular Meeting to order at
B:Op p.m. and asked the Clerk to call. the roll, all
mergl~ers being present except Mayor Lewis. Councilman
Everard left the meeting at 8:30 p.m. because of_illness.
Mr. A. L. Harrell, Jr. gave the invocation, immediately
after which the Village Manager led the Council and the
publ}c in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag,

Everard, all present voting aye, the minutes of Re- _
convened Meeting of September 11, 1969, and the minutes
of Regular Meeting held Thursday, September 25, 1969 .
were approved as written.
Vice-Mayor Be11 presented, on behalf of the Council and
the `tillage residents, a Certificate of Appreciation to
Mr. I~. L. Harrell, Jr. for his past services on the Village_ _
Recreation Advisory Board.
The Certificates of Appreciation for Dr. G. L. Ford,
Mr. Var Heyl and Mr. Robert C. Scott will be forwarded to
these persons, as they were not present at this meeting
to receive them.
The tpinutes of Special Meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Advispry Board held Wednesday, August 27, 1969 were tabled
until the Workshop Meeting of November 6.
The m}nutes of Regular Meeting of the Planning and Zoning
Advisory Board held Wednesday, October 1, 1969 were tabled
until the Workshop Meeting of November 6.

Village Manager read highlights of Report from Director
of Public Safety for September 1969.
On rr~Ption of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman
Wat~, all present voting aye, that we expend $2,600 from
Council Contingency Account for resurfacing of two existing
tenp}s courts.
On rgption of Councilman Privett, seconded by Councilman
Wat~~ all present voting aye, that we appropriate $3,000
from Contingency Account to put in the crossover pipe for
the tpedian strip sprinkling system on U. S. 1.
Councilman Privett made a motion that we appropriate from
Contingency Account $2,137 for the regrading of the 4_.15
acrq,~. Motion died for lack of a second.

~ - 10,000 GVW cab and chassis from McCulley Ford Company,
West Palm Beach, for a sum of $2,627.79,
2 - Packer bodies with alternate container lift and
alternate washout tank from Tom Wood Equipment Company,
Miami, Florida, for the sum of $8,880 each.
1 - Packer body only for the sum of $7,905.00 from Tom
Wood Equipment Company -- for a total expenditure of _-

Vice-Mayor Be11 stated that the annual picnic of the Public PUBLIC SAFETY-
Safe°ty Department will be held on Sunday, November 16, at DEPT. ANNUAL
Van Kessel Park in Jupiter. PICNIC
There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
on motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Privett,
all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 10:50 p.m.
