Mallory Privett, Jr., Councilman Mayor Lewis called the_Regular Meeting to order at ROLL CALL --- 8:00 p.m. and asked tl~e-Clerk to call-the roll, all members being present except Councilman Privett. Reverend Milton Du Priest, Pastor of Lighthouse Baptist _ INVOCATION & Church, gave the invocation, immediately after which PLEDGE OF Village Manager Robbins led the Council and the public. MEETING APPROVED Mayor-Lewis stated that last evening was a double PUBLIC SAFETY barreled affair ---.the Astronauts were recognized in Los _ DEPT..-RECOGNIZED Angeles and a section of the Village, the Golf Course _ BY GOLF COURSE Addition, recognized our Public Safety Department for. HOMEOVINERS ASSN. apprehending the notorious Cat Burglar. They received FOR APPREHENSION a placque from the Golf Course Homeowners Association OF CAT BURGLAR and, in addition, Chief Kohl, Lieutenant Wille, Patrol- man Hart and Patrolman Roberts, the four men who actually set up the screen to apprehend-the Cat Burgler, were presented Letters of Commendation from the Village. Mrs. Louis Enders, Secretary of the Beautification REPORT FROM Committee, read the Report of the North Palm Beach BEAUTIFICATION Beautification Committed dated August 14, 1969. NPB LIBRARY REPORT FOR JULY 1969 EXPANSION OF SR. CITIZENS FACILITY On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman COUNCIL REJECTS Watt, all present voting aye, that Council reject the T3ID ON SNACK BAR - only bid received; namely, Kendall Construction Company,- AUTHORIZE MANAGER in the amount of $21,000, and authorize Manager to re- - TO REBID bid snack bar construction program with alternates. On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Vice-Mayor Bell, all present voting aye, that Council disburse from Account No. 500, Contingency Account, the amount. of $1,417.36 and satisfy the tax lien now held against the Village-owned 4.15 acres; namely, part of Government Lots 2 and 3, as in ORB 764, Page 192, Parcel 2 (less part as in ORB 76~F, Page 195) located_in Section 9, Township 42, Range 43E. On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all present voting aye, that Council-authorize Village Manager to expend up to $800.00 for new zoning map for the Village, to be prepared by Mock, Roos & _ Searcy, Village Engineer. Mr. L. Ecclestone, Jr. presented the proposed plans-for the development of Old Port Cove to the Council. - COUNCIL AUTHORIZES- DISBURSEMENT FROM CONTINGENCY ACCT.
