Mayor Lewis called the Regular Meeting to order a.t ROLL CALL
8:10 p.m. and asked the Village Clerk to call the roll,
all members being present except Councilmen Clark and
Evera.rd. Councilman Clark arrived at 8:15 p.m. and
Councilman Everard arrived a.t 8:35 p.m.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman 4/16/68 MINUTES
Watt, all present voting aye, the minutes of Regular APPROVED
Meeting held Tuesday, April 16, 1968 were approved as
written.
Mayor Lewis referred to letter from Mrs. Betty Bray, LETTER FROM
expressing her appreciation for the letter sent to her MRS. BETTY
advising of a Certificate of Appreciation from the Council BRAY
and sending her apologies for not being able to a tend the
April 16 Council Meeting to accept her Certificate of
Appreciation.
Mayor Lewis read letter from Mr. F. B. Harmon dated 4/13/68 LETTER
April 13, 1968 relative to the Village Safety Patrol. FROM F. B.
HARMON
Mayor Lewis informed Council that Wednesday, Ma.y 1, is LAW DAY USA,
Law Da.y USA, and that the Village Hall will be turned MAY 1
over to students from Howell Watkins, Riviera. Beach
High School and Cardinal Newman on this day. Mayor
extended an invitation to all Councilmen to attend the
a.etivities on May i if they are able to make it.
Vice-Mayor Bell reported to Council on Palm Beach County P. B. COUNTY
Development Board meeting he attended Monday, April 22, DEVELOP'~NT BD.

4/22/68
Mr. Don Heller approached Council with a formal request REQUEST TO
to rezone Lot 1, Block 26, Plat 2 from R-2 to R-3 REZONE_LOT 1,
zoning classification. He plans to erect an 18 unit BLO-CK 26,
apartment complex on this property, which would have 6 PLAT 2
units on each floor and be 3 stories high.
On motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Vice-Mayor COUNCIL TO
Bell, all present voting aye, Council elected to .con- CONSIDER RE-
sider rezoning this particular parcel of property. A ZONING LOT 1,
public hearing on the rezoning will be held June 4, 1968. BLOCK'Z6,

THE GOVERNOR, CONSERVATION DEPARTMENT AND ALL OTHER COG-
NIZANT DEPARTMENTS OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA TO CONSIDER
THE IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION OF SUITABLE SHARK CONTROL
METHODS IN THE COASTAL AREAS OF PALM BEACH COUNTY, AND TO
PROVIDE FUNDS FOR SAID PROTECTION

There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
on motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Watt,
all present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 9:15 p.m.
