VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA

Mayor Lewis called the Regular Meeting to order a.t 8:05 p.m. ROLL CALL
and asked the Village Clark to call the roll, all members

Mayor Lewis stated that the Charter Board would like to
have the Council meet with them to discuss the proposed
charter amendments on Friday, May 31, 1968 a.t.7:30 p~m.
in the Village Ha11.
Mayor Lewis referred to letter from Florida Board of Con-
serva.tion dated May 16, 1968. This letter wa.s relative
to 'the resolution adopted by the Council re shark control
measures, certified copy of which was sent to Governor
Kirk.
Mayor Lewis referred to letter from Mrs. Pauline McCue,
Palm Beach Gardens Woman's Club, dated May 15, 1968
sent to Florida State Board of Health re-water and a.ir
pollution.
Mayor Lewis referred to letter he received from Reverend
James Anderson, First Presbyterian Church, dated Ma.y 18,
1968.
Mr. D. H. Brutton, Carson & Company, Inc., representing
Penny Wise Car Wash Systems, and their architect, Mr. 0.
D. Marvin, appeared before Council with a request to con-
struct a. car laundry on Lot 14, Block 55, Plat 5. This
property is currently zoned C-1 and would require a. change
to C-2 zoning for the type of operation they propose.
Mr. Brutton was referred back to the Building Official for
clarification of his client's request.
On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman
Clark, all present voting aye, the minutes of Charter
Board meeting held Thursday, April 4, 1968; the approved
minutes of Board of Governors meeting held Wednesday,
April 17, 1968; and the minutes of Zoning Board of Ad-
justment meeting held Thursday, May 9, 1968 were accepted.

to advertise for bids for Village fire apparatus. TISE FOR BIDS FOR
FIRE APPARATUS

all present voting aye, Council authorized disbursement of DISBURSEMENT OF
$100 from Special Events account to North Palm Beach-Palm $100 TO NPB-PBG
Beach Gardens Jaycees for their shark fishing contest. JAYCEES FOR SHARK
FISHING CONTEST
There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
on motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman Clark,
