Mayor Lewis called the Regular Meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. ROLL CALL
and asked the Village Clerk to call the roll, all members being
present.
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Clark,
a.ll present voting aye, the minutes of Regular Meeting held
Tuesday, June 25, 1968 were approved as written.
Mayor Lewis presented Certificates of Appreciation to the
following persons for their past services to the Vi1la.ge
while serving on Village Boards or Committees:
Mrs. Richard C. Hurd
Mr. Martin Gold
Mr. Vernon Ayers
Mrs. Jean Vincent
Mr. Wallace Jacobs
Certificates of Appreciation for those persons not present
at this meeting will be delivered to them at their homes.
Mayor Lewis read letter from Mrs. Lorice Siarto dated
June 28, 1968, commending Patrolmen Keith Poole and
Frank Sa.roka for the kindness and courtesy they extended
to her when her husband suffered a fatal heart attack on
June 20.

Mayor Lewis referred to letter dated July 2, 1968 from 7/2/68 LETTER
D. Wayne Roberts, Executive Director of the Governor`s Hwy. FROM D. WAYNE
Safety Commission, advising of the progress that has been ROBERTS RE
made on the Governor's 'TDrive for Safety." Councilman GOVERNOR`S
Clark, Village Chairman for the Drive, will be given "DRIVE FOR SAFE-
copy of this letter. TY"
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman
Watt, a.ll present voting aye, the minutes of Library
Board Meeting held June 20, 1968 and the minutes of
Planning and Zoning Advisory Board Meeting held July
3, 1968 were accepted by Council.
' Mr. Brutton of Carson Company was present at this
meeting relative to application for a car wash for Lot
14, Block 55, Plat 5. Council concurred with recom-
mendation of Planning and Zoning Advisory Board that
this car wash is acceptable in C-1 zoning, and Mr.
Brutton was referred back to Mr. W. G. Carver for a
building permit.

Mayor Lewis referred to letter of July 2, 1968 from Florence LETTER OF
E. Biller, Library Construction Department, relative to the 7/2/68 FROM
fact that -the Federal grant for construction of the North FLORENCE BILLER
Palm Beach Public Library was approved by the Florida. Library RE LIBRARY
and Historical Commission on April 22, 1968.

Village Ma.na.ger advised Council that final inspection wa.s WALKWAY OVER
made of the walkway over Lighthouse Bridge. He referred to LIGHTHOUSE
letter received from Howard L. Searcy dated July 9, 1968 BRIDGE
in which Mr. Searcy recommended that the project be approved
and the final invoice paid.
On motion of Councilman Clark, seconded by Councilman Watt, COUNCIL AUTHOR-
al1 present voting aye, Council authorized disbursement from IZED DISBURSE-
the Village Contingent Account in the amount of $11,500 for MENT FROM

There being no further business to come before the Council, ADJOURNMENT
on motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman C1a.rk,
