Be11, Vice-Mayor David C. Clark, Councilman A11an V. Everard, Councilman Herbert A. Watt, Councilman Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager. Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Lewis called the Regular Meeting to order and ROLL CALL asked the Village Clerk to call the roll, all members ~- =- being present. Meeting called to order at 8:40 p.m. On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman 8/13/68 & Clark, all present voting aye, the minutes_of Regular 8/20/68 MINUTES Meeting held Tuesday, August 13, 1968, and minutes of APPROVED Regular Meeting held Tuesday, August 20, 1968 were approved as written. Mayor Lewis stated that the recently activated "Action "ACTION TEENS" Teens" group in the Village of North. Palm Beach is a fine GROUP group of young people. They have asked the Council for a community project. Mayor Lewis stated that he and Council- man Clark will work with them in any way possible. Mayor Lewis read card of thanks from the family of Lloyd EXPRESSION OF 5. Bell for the Village's expression of sympathy. Vice- THANKS FROM Mayor Be11 personally thanked the Council for the beauti- THE BELL FAMILY fu1 Flowers that were sent to his family by the Village. Mayor Lewis stated that the Council would stand on its initial decision to deny the request of Village Garden Apartments, Inc. to dispense with the pool enclosure. On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Everard, all present voting aye, the minutes of Recreation Advisory Board meeting held July 11, 1968; and the minutes Qf Planning and Zoning Advisory Board meeting held August 14, 1968 were accepted by Council On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No 362-68 entitled: A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE MUNICIPAL POLICE AND FIREMAN PENSION TRUST FUND was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 362-68. On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Clark, all present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 363-68 entitled: COUNCIL DENIES REQUEST OF VILLAGE GARDEN APTS., INC. 7/11/68 MINUTES OF REC. AD. BD. MEETING & 8/14/68 MINUTES OF P & Z AD. BD. MEET- ING ACCEPTED PROPOSED RES. READ IN FULL & ADOPTED AS READ AS RES. N0. 362-68 PROPOSED RES. READ IN FULL & ADOPTED AS READ AS RES. FOR JULY 31, 1968 ACCEPTED On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Clark, all BY COUNCIL present voting aye, these financial statements were accepted by Council and a true copy of each will be attached to the minutes of this meeting. On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman Watt - 4 to 1, Councilman Clark opposed - Council accepted bid of Lost Tree Village Corporation in the amount of $125,000 on 4.15 acres of land owned by the Village of North Palm Beach lying ad,~acent to North Palm Beach Country Club, U. S. Highway No. 1, the Village of North Palm Beach. COUNCIL ACCEPTS BID OP-LOST TREE VILLAGE CORP.
