08-27-1968 VC SP-M MINUTES OF TAX EQUALIZING BOARD OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 27, 1968 Present: Thomas F. Lewis, Mayor Thomas R. Be11, Vice-Mayor David C. Clark, Councilman A11an V. Everard, Councilman Herbert A. Watt, Councilman Lawrence J. Robbins, Village Manager Frances A. Fox, Tax Assessor Dolores R. Walker, Village Clerk Mayor Lewis reconvened the Tax Equalizing Board Meeting at 7:40 p.m. and asked the Village Clerk to call the roll, all members being present. Councilman Clark arrived N at 7:55 p.m. C:~ ~ Mayor Lewis stated that he was actually reconvening the ~ recessed meeting of the Tax Equalizing Board held Monday, ~ August 5, 1968. Tax Assessor recommended that the following assessments for personal property tax be adjusted: 1. Robert Berman - from $1,000 to $500 2. H & R Block - from $800 to $600 3. Thomas Bermingham - from $1,000 to $500 4. Atlantic Richfield Company - from $11,800 to $8,000 5. Jerome Wedekind - from $800 to $500 6. Ferman Henn - from $800 to $500 Tax Assessor recommended no change in personal property tax assessment for the following: 1. Thurmond Knight Realty, Inc. - $1,200 2. Paul Meacham - $500 3. John Doran (2 properties) - one $300 and one $3,400 4. Mrs. Mary Thompson - $1,100 5. Continental Con-Dev Company - $7,~F00 6. Glen Fadden - $850 7. Vincent Zentgraf - $500 8. Janet Froom - $1,000 9. Herman Brawn - $500 10. Red Velvet Saloon - $16,800 11. Schroeder Drugs., Inc. - $1,900 12. Ann Widelock - $500 1 ROLL CALL ~~ RECONVENTION OF RECESSED MEETING OF 8/5/65 PERSONAL PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENTS ADJUSTED PERSONAL -.- PROPERTY TAX ASSESSMENTS - NO CHANGE On motion of Councilman L4att, seconded by Councilman RECOMMENDATIONS Everard, all present voting a.ye, that those recommendations OF TAX ASSESSOR made by the Tax Assessor for adjustment in personal property APPROVED tax assessment, and those that are recorrunended no change be approved. On motion of Vice-Mayor Be11, seconded by Councilman bdatt, all present voting aye, the assessment of Lot 22, Block 3, Plat 1 (Irvine S. Owens) wa.s reduced from $36,100 to $33,950.
