06-06-1967 VC PH-M MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD r i TUESDAY, JUNE 6, 1967 Present: Thomas F. Lewis, Mayor - Thomas R. Bell, Vice-Mayor David C. Clark, Councilman Allan V. Evera.rd, Councilman Herbert A. Watt, Councilman Dolores R. Walker, Village Manager's Secretary Absent: Herbert L. Gildan, Village Attorney Mayor Lewis called the Public Hearing to order a,t 7:45 p.m. and ROLL_CALL asked Mrs. Walker to call the roll, all members being present except Village Attorney Herbert L. Gildan. Mayor Lewis stated that the purpose of the Public Hearing caa.s to hear any affirmatives or objections to adding an additional use permitted to the C-lA Limited Commercial District for dry storage marinas. Herbert A. Watt, Acting Village Ma:na.ger, read Legal Notice dated May 16, 1967 which wa.s published in the Palm Beach Post Ma.y 19, 1967 relative to above reclassification. Mr. Walter Rydeaxd, 130 Doolen Court, Apartment 313C, was opposed to this rezoning. He felt that the Bahia.-Ma.r apartment building is too close to where gasoline tanks would be placed in this area.. He also felt that the traffic flow, both boat and automobile, would be a. safety hazard because of the amount of boats and automobiles that would be involved, especially on a. weekend. He a.1so stated that parking facilities are not adequate. Mr. Ma.rtoccia. indicated that he feels this is not a. rezoning problem. He is only seeking the addition to the present zoning classification of a. dry storage marina,. On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Watt, all present voting a.ye, the Public Hearing wa.s adjourned a.t 8:10 p.m. :Respectfully submitted, Herbert A.
