VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 1967

Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order a.t 8:10 p.m. and asked
Acting Village Manager, Herbert A. Watt, to call the roll, a.ll
members being present.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Everard, a.11
present voting a.ye, the minutes of the Regular Meeting held Tuesday,
June 13, 1967 were approved a.s written.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Everard, all
present voting a.ye, the minutes of the Special Meeting held June
20, 1967 were approved a.s corrected.
Mayor Lewis announced meeting schedule for July and August, 1967:
Workshop meeting July 11, regular session July 18. August:
Workshop meeting August 15, regular session August 22. The first
Monday in August, August 7, Council will sit as Board of Equali-
zation for tax purposes.
Mayor Lewis read J. J. Ea.ssa., Jr. letter of resignation a.s Villa.ge
Clerk dated June 26.
Council received minutes of North Palm Beach Country Club Board of
Governors meeting held Tuesday, June 20, 1967.
Council received minutes of Recreation Advisory Board meeting held
May 15, 1967.
Council received minutes of Recreation Advisory Board meeting held
June 5, 1967.
Council received minutes of Planning and Zoning Advisory Board
meeting held Wednesday, June 7, 1967.
On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded $sy Vice-Mayor Bell,
all present voting a.ye, the above minutes were accepted a.s
written.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Everard,-all
present voting a.ye, the Financial Statement of April 30; 1967 was
accepted, and a. certified copy of same is a.tta.ched to the official
copy of the minutes of this meeting.
On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman Watt, all
present voting a.ye, Council placed on second reading Bi11 No. 22
and read by title only.

AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 20, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, IT BEING
THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY ADDING AN ADDITIONAL
USE PERMITTED TO THE C-lA LIMITED COMMERCIAL DISTRICT FOR
DRY STORAGE-MARINAS
At the request of Vice-Mayor Bell, the public wa.s invited to discuss
this bill before it was presented for passage.

Councilman Everard made the motion that Bi11 No. 22 be adopted. This
motion was seconded by Councilman Watt.
Mayor Lewis asked for the reading of the proposed amendments to
• Bill No. 22 to include the parking requirements. Acting Village
Manager, Herbert A. Watt, read the proposed amendments to Section
1, a.s follows:
7. Ma.rina.s and their accessory uses such a.s wet boat
storage facilities, indoor dry boat storage fa.eilities,

gasoline supplies, and such minor repair facilities as a.re
' incidental to boat storage and which do not involve major
boat and/or engine overhaul, provided all facilities a.re
architecturally and structurally in harmony with the spirit
of the community; and provided further that the following
off-street parking regulations are adhered to:
a.. For each 3000 cubic feet of designated boat storage
space connected with indoor dry boat storage facilities,
there shall be provided one 200-square foot parking space, ex-
' clusive of workshop and office areas.
b. For each one and one-half designated boat storage
spaces connected with wet boat storage facilities, there
shall be provided one 200-square foot parking space, ex-
clusive of workshop and office areas.
• c. For each 100 square feet of workshop floor a.rea.,
there shall be provided one 200-square foot parking space,
and for each 200 square feet of workshop area. above the first
floor, there shall be provided one 200-square foot parking space.
d. For each 300 square feet of floor area. used for office
purposes, there shall be provided one 200-square foot parking
space.
Vice-Mayor Bell made the motion to include the amendments into Bill
No. 22. This motion wa.s seconded by Councilman Evera.rd and passed
unanimously by Council.
With concurrence of Councilman Evera.rd, the original motion to
adopt wa.s changed to adopt Bi11 No. 22 a.s amended to Ordinance
No. 150-67.
On motion of Councilman Evera.rd, seconded by Councilman Watt, all
' present voting aye, Bill No. 22 a.s amended wa.s adopted a.s Ordinance
No. 150-67.
On motion of Councilman Evera.rd, seconded by Vice-1Ka.yor Bell, all
present voting aye, Bill No. 24 entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 48 AND AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 20,
THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY LIMITING THE PROXIMITY
OF GASOLINE OR OIL STATIONS TO CERTAIN STRUCTURES OR TO OTHER
SUCH STATIONS WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH
