MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING
OF THE -
VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA
HELD
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 12, 1967

Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order at 8:10 p~:m. and asked
the Village Clerk to call the roll, all members being present.
On motion'of Councilman Watt, seconded by Vice-Mayor Be11, all
present voting aye, the minutes of the Regular Meeting held Tuesday,
November 28, 1967 were approved as written.
Mayor Lewis read letter from Judge Robert S. Hewitt dated December
4, 1967, thanking the Mayor for his letter of November 28, 1967 and
indicating his pleasure in participating in the Osborne Park dedi-
cation on Veterans' Day.
Council discussed the proposed County system for franchised ambulance
service. Council agreed that they would write a letter to Mr. Jack
Dean, County Administrator, requesting a delay in our reply on this
system (until January 8, 1968) prior to the County going out on
bids, and inquiring how the County is going to finance the project.
On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Vice-Mayor Be11, all
present voting aye, proposed Resolution No. 330-67 entitled:
A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH,
FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND THE VILLAGE CLERK TO
ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH IiUNNICUTT & ASSOCIATES, IN-
CORPORATED, FOR APARAISAL SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH THE
1968 VILLAGE TAX ASSESSMENT ROLL
was read in full and adopted as read as Resolution No. 330-67.
Village Manager read letter from Eugene Bie dated December 12, 1967
reference relocation of cul-de-sa.c in Yacht Club Drive (Lots 1~4,
15, 16 & 17, Marina Addition, Village of North Palm Bea,ch).
On motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Everard, all
present voting aye, that at the request of Atlantic Land Company,
Council agrees in principle to the relocation of the cul-de-sac
in Yacht Club Drive, Marina. Addition, subject to subsequent
approval of the Planning and Zoning Advisory Board in the event
a proposal is submitted for replotting of said area.
Village Manager read highlights of Building Official`s Statistical
Data Report for the month of November 1967 and this report was
accepted by Council.
Village Manager read highlights of Monthly Report from Director
of Public Safety dated December 1, 1967 and this report wa.s
accepted by Council.
On motion of Vice-Mayor Be11, seconded by Councilman Clark, all
present voting aye, Council agreed that the Kiwanis Club of the
North Palm Beaches shall pay fqr an occupational license and that
the Village will donate the sum of $250 to the Kiwanis Club,
with the express condition that at least this much money be used
by them for charitable and governmental activities in the Village
of North Palm Beach.

Mayor Advised Council that the Jaycees will be the impartial judges
for the Village for the Christmas Decoration Contest, and also for
the selection of the best living tree, which prize is awarded by
the North Palm Beach Garden Club.
There being no further business to come before the Council, on
motion of Vice-Mayor Bell, seconded by Councilman Clark, all
present voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 9:OD p.m.
