• Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order at 7:20 p,m, and asked the ROLL CALL
Village Clerk to call the roll, all members being present except
Vice-Mayor Bell and Village Attorney Gildan,
Mayor Lewis explained the purpose of the Tax Equalization Board, He PURPOSE OF
stated that the Board convened as a Tax Equalization Board for the BOARD
purpose of equalizing tax assessments for those persons who £elt they
were not fairly assessed,
Village Clerk Eassa read the Notice to Taxpayers as follows: NOTICE TD

COMPLAINTS AND RECEIVING TESTIMONY AS TO THE VALUE OF ANY
PROPERTY AS FIXED BY THE TAX ASSESSOR, AND MAY CONTINUE IN

On motion of Counci]man Watt, seconded by Councilman Clark, all present
voting aye, the assessed valuation of Lot 20, Block 7, Plat 1 (Antonio
Silva, Jr,) was reduced from $24,140 to X21,600 as recommended by our
' appraiser,
On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Everard, all
present voting aye, the assessed valuation of Lot 22, Block 38, Plat 3
(Ignatius Roxas) remained as originally assessed at $170,740,
On motion of Councilman Everard, seconded by Councilman Watt, all
present votin
aye, the assessed valuation of Lot 4, Block F, Plat 4

(Frank Husvar remained as originally assessed at X12,690,
' On motion of Councilman Watt, seconded by Councilman Everard, the
assessed val uation of Lot 25, Block E, Plat 4 (Milton Morrill) was
reduced from $17,160 to ~1b,160 due to a mathematical error on the
part of the Village. The Board voted three to one - Councilman Clark
opposed - to have the assessment remain at $16,160,

Building Official, to ascertain what portion of his home was completed as of THER INVESTIGATED
January 1, 1966. The Board will reconvene Tuesday, August 2, at 8:00 p,m. to
resolve this assessment.
Relative to the assessment of X30,820 on Lot 7, Golf Course Addition (Joseph LOT 7, GOLF COURSE
Tulino) Mr, Grant of Hunnicutt Associates, Inc, will check the prints in the ADDITION, ASSESSMENT
Building Officials office to determine if this is e.fair assessment. The TO ~ FURTHER
Board will decide upon this assessment when it reconvenes Tuesday, Au gust 2, INVESTIGATED
at 8:00 p,m,
Relative to Lot 18, Block 62, Yacht Club Addition (Robert Bice} Mr, Grant
of Hunnicutt Associates, Inc, will review the assessment of X27,060 and
give his recommendation to the Board when it reconvenes Tuesday, August 2,
at 8:00 p,m.

On motion of Councilman Watt seconded by Councilman Everard, all present
