02 2015 Newsletter“The Best Place to Live Under the Sun” FEBRUARY 2015FEBRUARY 2015 Village of North Palm BeachVillage of North Palm Beach Pg. 2—Village Manager Village Manager / Code Enforcement A Message from the Village Manager Dear Residents, All of us who have children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, know how much fun it is to brag about their successes. Well, our very own Vil- lage of North Palm Beach Fire Rescue Department is now rated among the top 810 fire protection agencies out of 48,000 agencies across the United States. (Top 2% in the country) This should not only make you feel assured in fire or rescue emergen- cies, but it also plays a major factor with the underwriting process for insurance companies, regarding what coverages they offer and prices they charge. The Insurance Services Offices Public Protection Plan uses a rating scale of 1—10 with a classification of “1” being the best. North Palm Beach Fire Rescue received a classification rating of “2”. Congratula- tions on being among this elite group! Sincerely, Jim Kelly 561-841-3380 VILLAGE CODE -Sec. 5-83. - Minimum design requirements.(d) Floating docks. The North Palm Beach Police Department is concerned with the well-being of the citizens in our community. Remember that Gunfire is Dangerous and Illegal. Do not fire a gun in celebration. Numerous people are injured or killed each year due to “celebratory gunfire”. Help us to keep you, your family and your neighborhood safe by making good de- cisions when it comes to safety. Reports of gunfire are taken seriously and officers will respond appropriately. While our intention is not to dampen the spirit of celebration, anyone engaged in the illegal discharge of a firearm will be arrested. Please help us in protecting our community. If you know of someone that engages in firing a gun as a means of celebrating, please call us ahead of time to report this information. If you hear or observe violations, report them immedi- ately. You can report illegal gunfire and remain anonymous. Our goal is for everyone to enjoy a safe environment in North Palm Beach. Library 561-841-3380 Pg. 4—Library Next Month: MYSTERY NIGHT!
