Vice-Mayor Lewis called the meeting to order at 9:00 p.m. and asked the Clerk ROLL
to call the roll, a quorum being present with Mayor Beery and Councilman Be11 CALL
absent.
On motion of Councilman Churchill, seconded by Councilman Watt, all members NEW
voting aye, the Council approved the new lower rates and installment plan CLUB
for family memberships at the Country Club, as submitted in the C. C. Board RATES
of Governors' minutes and recommendations of February 17, 1965, available APPROVED
for taxpayers and residents only.
The Council was advised by the Village Attorney that if the Village desired
to establish a pension system for policemen and firemen this year, they would
have to take action prior to March 1, 1965 and have the necessary papers in
the office of the State Insurance Commissioner as soon as possible. The
Manager explained the state pension system received its funds from a percent-
age on fire insurance paid by insurance companies on its receipts and this
participation by the Village would cost residents nothing additional.
On motion of Councilman Churchill, seconded by Councilman Watt, all members
