03-10-1964 VC REG-M• MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH held March 10, 1964 ' Present: {Varren P. Tatoul, Mayor Louis J. Aiello, Jr., Vice-Mayor Harold W. Beery, Councilman Thomas R. Be21, Councilman Frank J. Hahn, Councilman Frank R. Spence, Village Manager and Clerk ' Absent: C. Robert Burns, Village Attorney Mayor Tatoul called the meeting to order at 8:00 p.m. and asked the Clerk to call the roll, alI members being present. The Clerk then read the minutes for the Regular Meeting of March 3, 1964. The minutes were approved as read. The Village Treasurer read the financial statements for the Village and Country Club for the month of February, 1964. The Treasurer reported that the 1962-63 Audit had just been received from our former auditor, Lee Shepard, and have been distributed to the Council. Since the auditor only supplied ten (10) copies, extra copies could be purchased directly from them at a cost of $5.60. The Village Clerk read a letter from 61r. Robert C. Scott, Attorney, representing Northlake Properties, withdrawing their request to rezone Lots 27- 35, Block 40, Plat 6. On motion of Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members voting aye, Ordinance #89 entitled AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE #20, AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, THE SAME BEING THE COMPREHENSIVE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID VILLAGE, BY REMOVING CERTAIN PROPERTY FROM THE R-1 SINGLE FAMILY D{YELLING DISTRICT, AND RECLASSIFYING SAID PROPERTY AS R-2 MULTIPLE FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT; BY DIRECTING THE VILLAGE CLERK TO BRING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP UP TO DATE; BY PROVIDING FOR THE REPEAL OF ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HERE{VITH; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. was place on second reading and read by title only. The Village Manager informed the Council that the North Palm Beach Utilities, Inc., had discovered an error in the easement description drawn up by our engineers for the utility easement serving St. Clare's Church. For this reason the easement description had to be redrawn and could not be acted upon that night. ' The Village Manager read a letter from the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida, stating that they had approved the bulkhead line established by the Village by Ordinance #61, dated February 14, 1961, for Little Munyon Island. On motion of Councilman Beery, seconded by Councilman Hahn, all members voting aye, the disposition of the letter was tabled until the next regular meeting and instructed the Village Manager to have the Village Engineer check and confirm that what the Internal Fund Board approved was the same as what ohs described in Ordinance #61. The Village Manager informed the Council that numerous requests had been made for additional copies of the Voter Registration List. Because of the great amount of time, labor, and materials cost that went into the pub- lishing of them, the Manager recommended that after we complied with our legal obligation to provide such lists to all candidates, a nominal charge should be made for any additional copes wanted by anyone. On motion of Councilman Beery, seconded by Councilman Aiello, all members voting aye, the Village Manager was authorized to charge a nominal cost for any documents or reproduct- ions prepared by the Village, such price to be determined by the 64anager. During open forum numerous citizens spoke on various subjects. There being no further business to come before the Council, on motion of Councilman Bell, seconded by Councilman [iahn, all members voting aye, the meeting was adjourned at 9:30 p.m. n u
