11-28-1962 VC SP-M MINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING of the VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH HELD November 28, 1962 Fresent: 3~larren P. Tatoul, Mayor Charles M. Bowman, Vice-Mayor Louis J. Aiello, Councilman C. Robert Burns, Village Attorney Albin R. Olson, Village Manager ' and Clerk Absent: Frank J. Hahn, Councilman Mayor Tatoul called a special meeting of the Village Council for the purpose of discussing the acceptance of the Country Club building • and pool project as constructed by the Thomas A. Hodges Construction Company, Inc. The matter of payment of certain water and electric utility bills in connection with the construction project was discussed and a compromise offer of Mr. Hodges to pay a portion of these. bills was accepted_ Also, Mr. Hodges agreed to make a $425. allowance for paint- ing the shower walls in the bath-house area, the Village to determine whether or not such painting be necessary at a later date. On motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice-Mayor Bowman, all members voting aye, the recommendation of the Building Official the Country Club building and pool be accepted and the final requisition of the Thomas A. Hodges Construction Company in the amount of $43,075. be paid was approved. ' The following bids for blanket coverage under the Public and Institutional Property form for village property were opened: Tucker Insurance Company $ 3,081.51 Louis B. Bills Insurance 3,081.51 Nichols Insurance Agency 3,049.97 (First year $3,049.97: next four years $2,744.99) On motion of Councilman Aiello, secanded by Vice-Mayor Bowman, all members voting aye, the Village Manager was instructed to accept the bid o£ the Nichols Insurance Agency and place the insurance accord- ingly. On motion of Vice-Mayor Bowman, seconded by Councilman Aiello all members voting aye, the Village Manager was instructed to pay the J. P. Carrol Company requisition in the amount of $4.426.65 as approved by the Village Engineer, for the installation of a pump at the Country • Club. There being no further business to come befor-e the Council, the meeting was adjourned at 10:00 p.m. on motion of Councilman Aiello, seconded by Vice-Mayor Bowman, all members voting aye. 1 c~.L..
