PGA WATERFRONT (A/K/A PANAMA HATTIE' S) PROPOSED REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Land Planner Dodi Glas of Gentile Glas Holloway O'Mahoney & Associates, Inc. gave an overview
of the proposed PGA Waterfront project: Also present was Paul Angelo of PGA Partners 100,
the developer of the parcel.
Ms. Glas explained the mixed -use development project encompasses the current Panama Hattie's
site and three additional lots to the south, for a total area of 7.95 acres. Ms. Glas advised the
property is located in unincorporated Palm Beach County; however, an annexation application
has been submitted to the City of Palm Beach Gardens. Ms. Glas detailed the other applications
on file with the City of Palm Beach Gardens.
Ms. Glas reported the first public meeting, a community workshop, would be held July 8, 2014 at
Palm Beach Gardens City Hall, in order to hear comments from the Planning and Zoning Board
and the public. After the July 8th meeting, Ms. Glas stated the firm would be making revisions
to the plans and resubmitting them to Palm Beach Gardens for staff review, followed by further
revisions in response to staff comments, if necessary. Ms. Glas stated she would come back for a
more detailed discussion on access and traffic (perhaps in August) after the plans have been revised.
Following her presentation, Ms. Glass responded to questions from the Village Council.
Discussion ensued regarding safety and traffic concerns, as well as the impact on businesses and
future commercial development in the Village of North Palm Beach.
Members of the public addressed the Council and expressed their concerns about the project.
