Mayor Manuel called the meeting to order at 9:00 p.m. All members of Council were present.
All members of staff were present.
SPECIALTY VEHICLES PURCHASE
Discussion was held regarding the purchase of two specialty vehicles from Mike Davidson Ford at a
total cost of $52,727.54 and after - market components from local vendors at a total cost of $2,290.35.
Mr. Green noted the vehicles to be purchased would replace two 2002 Ford Dodge Ram pickup
trucks with lift gates. Public Works Director Brian Moree provided photos and described the
vehicles requested for purchase. Mr. Moree stated the 2013 Ford Econoline Van would be used
as a mobile workshop for the Facilities Maintenance Division, and the Ford F250 would be used
by the Streets and Grounds Division.

FIRST AMENDMENT TO COMMUNICATIONS SITE LEASE AGREEMENT WITH VERIZON
Mr. Green reported that Craig and Associates, acting as agent for Verizon Wireless Personal
Communications LP, requested an amendment to the existing Lease Agreement to expand the
leased premises to include another 80 square feet in their communications site at the Community
Center in order to install a diesel generator and fuel tank. Mr. Green advised the amendment
would also include a five -foot wide utility easement across the Community Center parking lot.
Mr. Green stated in exchange for this consideration, Verizon has agreed to pay an additional
$500 per month over the current monthly rent of $2,768.47. Mr. Green noted the monthly rent is
increased annually by an amount of 3% based on the previous year.
Tara Shapiro of Craig and Associates, representing Verizon, explained the generator is needed to
provide power to the antennas in the event of an outage. Discussion ensued regarding sound
issues and precautionary measures to contain any fuel leakages. Community Development Director
Chuck Huff reviewed the proposed location for the generator. Ms. Shapiro stated the noise level
is typically 70 decibels from a distance of 23 feet. Ms. Shapiro stated the generator itself is
enclosed and would be located inside an eight -foot wall.
