A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA, DECLARING FOUR MODULAR
BUILDINGS AT ANCHORAGE PARK AS SURPLUS PROPERTY AND
AUTHORIZING THEIR DEMOLITION; AND PROVIDING FOR AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the four modular buildings at Anchorage Park, constructed almost forty years ago,
have suffered from roof leaks for the past ten years, leading to mold issues within the structures; and
WHEREAS, due to their deteriorated condition, the Parks and Recreation Department has not
held any activities at the buildings for over two years; and
WHEREAS, the conceptual plans for the Anchorage Park renovation call for the elimination of
the buildings in order to move the larger ball field to the existing modular building site; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends declaring the buildings surplus property and
authorizing their demolition; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in best
interests of the public health, safety and welfare.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council hereby declares the existing four modular buildings at
Anchorage Park as surplus property and authorizes their demolition in accordance with existing
Village policies and procedures.
Section 3. This Resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
