• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH
PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF
ONE FREIGHTLINER M2 WITH NEW WAY, KING COBRA, 25 CUBIC YARD REAR
LOADING GARBAGE TRUCK PURSUANT TO THE FLORIDA SHERIFF'S
ASSOCIATION, FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES AND FLORIDA FIRE
CHIEFS' ASSOCIATION BID SPECIFICATIONS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$134,998.00; DECLARING AN EXISTING GARBAGE TRUCK AS SURPLUS AND
AUTHORIZING ITS DISPOSAL; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to proceed with the purchase and replacement of one garbage packer
truck for use by the Sanitation Division; and
WHEREAS, Village Staff recommends the purchase of one Freightliner M2 with New Way, King
Cobra, 25 cubic yard rear loading garbage truck fitted to Village Specifications pursuant to the Florida
Sheriff's Association, Florida Association of Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association Bid
Specifications; and
WHEREAS, Village Council wishes to declare its existing 2000 Sterling garbage truck #66 as surplus
property and authorize its disposal; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best interests
ofthe Village.
• NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals are ratified as true and incorporated herein.
Section 2. The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, hereby approves the
purchase of one Freightliner M2 with New Way, King Cobra, 25 cubic yazd reaz loading garbage truck
fitted to Village Specifications pursuant to the Florida Sheriff's Association, Florida Association of
Counties and Florida Fire Chiefs' Association Bid Specifications.
Section 3. The amount expended for this new gazbage truck shall not exceed $134,998.00 to be
expended from Village Account #A7020-66410 ("Sanitation--Capital--Automotive").
Section 4. Upon delivery, acceptance and placement into service of the new garbage truck, the
Village declazes its 2000 Sterling gazbage truck #66 as surplus and authorizes its sale at the eazliest
possible date.
Section 5. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
