• A RESOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF
NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE
PURCHASE OF TWO 2008 FORD CROWN VICTORIA INTERCEPTOR
MARKED PATROL VEHICLES FROM BOBBY JONES FORD; AND
PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Village wishes to proceed with the purchase of two (2) marked patrol vehicles
for use by the Public Safety Department; and
WHEREAS, Village Administration recommends the purchase of the Ford Crown Victoria
Police Interceptor vehicles from Bobby Jones Ford of Augusta, Georgia due to cost savings over
the Sheriff's Association Contract and its ability to provide additional equipment; and
WHEREAS, the Village Council determines that the adoption of this Resolution is in the best
interests ofthe Village.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE
OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA as follows:
Section 1. The foregoing recitals aze ratified as true and incorporated herein.
• Section2. The Village Council of the Village of North Palm Beach, Florida, hereby
approves the purchase of two (2) 2008 Ford Crown Victoria Interceptor mazked patrol vehicles,
fitted with specified Village requirements, at total cost not to exceed $52,096.00, with funds
expended from Account No. A571 1-6641 0 (Law Enforcement -Capital -Automotive).
Section 3. The purchase of the new vehicles shall be made from Bobby Jones Ford and,
based on the cost savings, the Council waives the customary Village purchasing policies.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
