We like to hit our balls and watch them ga far, but we do not put in as much time practicing our putting. The putter can lower our scare quicker than any other club in the baggy Today, I am going to give you a drill to practice that will improve your ~a putting and sharpen your focus with the putter. Take 5 balls and your putter to the practice green. Set your balls in a line starting at ' ~ 2 feet from the hole placing each ball after that ~ feet further Pram the last. You will end up with a 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10 foot putt. When you make the 2 footer, move to the next putt, if you make that one move to the next length, continue until you can make them all 7 in a raw.. If you miss at any length you must start over at 2 feet. Start with straight putts. When you are successful with the straight putts, move to a putt with a little break and continue the same exercise. This drill will help you understand the length and speed of the stroke to make your ball go the proper distance. It will also help you focus on making all of the putts in a raw without having to start aver. GOOD LUCK and I will see 'you on the putting greenl+ Effective Monday, Qctober 13th the club has a rate change fior golf Monday thru Thursday. 18 holes will be $55.00, after 12:30 $45.00., Saturday, Sunday and Holidays will be $65.00, after 12:30 $55.0©. YpUR SHIP HAS COME IN! (pr has i#....) UErE~tr,~~E~s~r. st,~~f,~,„~~~.~«,~~~,~ Have you received an unexpected check for a large sum in the mail? Chances are it was accompanied ~by instructions to convert a large portion thereof to a money order and to mail the money order to a "tax agent"' or "solicitor"' or something similar usually located in another country. The communication will probably name some large amount of money that you will receive via return mail. Let`s say you take the unexpected check to your local bank and purchase the requesked money order, depositing the balance in your account. If there is enough money in your account to cover the check, your bank will probably conduct this transaction for you. You will send off the money order expecting to receive your windfall by return mail. Instead, you will receive a returned check notice from your bank because the unexpected check was fraudulent. You now owe the bank an NSF fee and you are out the amount of the money order. Many people wish for that elusive ship to come in, but it rarely does. People may be especially vulnerable to "get rich quick"' schemes in times of economic crisis. There are endless variations of scams circulating via e-mail, fax, postal service, etc. It is best to remember the mantra "if it seems too good to be true, it probably is." The fact that many of these schemes originate in areas that are remote from the victim and involve difficult to trace transactions makes them very difficult to investigate and even more difficult to successfully prosecute. Because of this, it is important for people to be wary of money seemingly raining down from heaven. When contacted by e-mail, your best course of action is to simply delete the e-mail. You can also add the sender to your seam filter and report the suspect e-mail to your ISP. Never respond to unsolicited e-mail that requests personally identifiable information. When contacted by US Mail, you can repast it to your local Postmaster. f' - For more detailed information on these and other scams check out these web ites: http;llwww.fbi.govlmajcaseslfraudffraudsehemes.htm ~ ' http:l/www.ustreas.gov/usss/fraud email advisory.shtml - ~~~.-_ http:/lwww.mopes.comlcrimelfraudlnigeria.asp Page 6 -Public Safety www.village-npb.org ~ Fold out for Village Calendar (Pages 7 & 8) ~ ~ : ' ; ' ?
