Village•Wide Citizen Satisfaction Survey Results Are In! In April 2008, the "2008/09 Citizen Satisfaction Survey" was mailed out and Village residents were asked to "make their voice heard" by completing a 3 page questionnaire. That questionnaire was designed to capture personal data, levels of satisfaction with services provided, and budgetary priorities. One thousand and forty two surveys were completed and returned. All data received was imputed into an automated database where it was batched, analyzed and assigned a numerical score. The computed results indicate that Village residents prize their unique sanitation services (69% said "Excellent" and 51% ranked it a top budgetary priority) and their Public Safety Department (59% and 57% rated Police and Fire "Excellent" respectively and 73% ranked it a top budgetary priority as well.) Eight-nine percent (89%) indicated they were "Satisfied" (55%) or "Very Satisfied" (34%) with the balance between the taxes they pay and the services they receive from the Village. Ninety-two percent (92%) indicated that they feel the Council and Administration are effective at preserving the "small town" feel and character of the Village. In conclusion, despite overwhelmingly approving Amendment 1, residents who responded to the Citizen Satisfaction Survey indicated that they are satisfied with the type and quality of services provided to them by the Village and wish to continue these services at present levels. The "Citizen Survey"Result Summary in its entirety can be viewed on the Village website irii7r.vill~~e-nnb.or~ I wish to thank again all those who took time from their busy schedules to assist in this process. It is both my desire and the desire of your Council to be responsive to the needs and wants of you the residents of this great Village!
