RAY HOWLAND SCHOLARSHIP FUND
Ray Howland was a former Village Manager of North Palm Beach who retired in 1989. He was an avid cycling enthusiast and was
tragically killed in a traffic accident. Last May two scholarships were awared in his name.
A North Palm Beach resident was one of the recepitants of the scholarship for 2006 and will be attending the Palm Beach Commu-
nity College.
The scholarship is available to seniors attending high school in Palm Beach County, who are planning to continue their education.
Applicants must submit either an essay or a poster on bicycle safety with the application. Applications may be downloaded by go-
ing to the website: www.yourcommunityfoundation.org. The deadline for applying is February 1, 2007.
HVAC CONTRACTOR NEEDED FOR CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT & APPEALS: A volunteer is
needed for one vacancy on the Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals. This position must be filled by an HVAC Contrac-
tor. Applicants are not required to be residents of the Village. The Construction Board of Adjustment & Appeals meets on call, as
needed, to consider variances of the technical codes and to hear appeals of decisions and interpretations of the building official.
