ROLL CALL
Mayor Norris called the meeting to order at 9:05 p.m. All members of Council were present. All
members of staff were present.
SPECIAL PERMIT FOR SIMILAR USE—THE VILLAGE TOBACCO SHOP
Discussion took place concerning an application for a Special Use Permit to allow The Village
Tobacco Shop to operate a retail tobacco and gift shop at 9092 Alternate Al A as a similar use to
those permitted within the C Transitional Commercial zoning district, subject to certain
conditions and in accordance with Village policy.
Applicant Dolores LaShomb was present to review the proposed business.
Discussion took place concerning a method for approval of any inventory in addition to the list
dated 3/5/12. Mr. Rubin opined that a condition could be added to require that any changes in
inventory would be subject to written approval of the Community Development Director.
By consensus, this item was forwarded to the April 26, 2012 Regular Session.
ANALOG PHONE AND ALARM LINES
Discussion was held regarding a proposed change from AT&T to Windstream Communications to
provide service for analog phone and alarm lines at Village facilities.
Information Technology Director Michael Applegate reported having no service issues with
Windstream Communications (formerly NuVox) since the transfer of Village digital services from
AT&T. Mr. Applegate confu med there would be no additional maintenance agreements needed.

With no further business to come before the Council, the meeting adjourned at 9:20 p.m.
