AN ORDINANCE OF THE VILLAGE OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA,
' ANNEXING TO THE VILLAGE CERTAIN AREAS OF PROPERTY; PROVIDING
A LEGAL DESCRIPTION OF THE PROPERTY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED;
REDEFINING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE VILLAGE TO INCLUDE SAID
PROPERTY; CALLING FOR A REFERENDUM ELECTION IN THE VILLAGE
AND WITHIN THE AREA PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED; DIRECTING THE
VILLAGE CLERK TO PUBLISH NOTICE OF THE REFERENDUM; AND
PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM
BEACH, FLORIDA:
Section 1. The Village of North Palm Beach,
Florida, hereby annexes to the Village a compact, contiguous
parcel of land as described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto
and made a part hereof.
Section 2. The boundaries of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida, are hereby redefined to include the
' above-described property and said property is hereby declared
to be within the corporate limits of the Village of North
Palm Beach, Florida.
Section 3. A referendum election shall be held on
on March 12, 1991, within the Village and within the above-
described property proposed to be annexed hereby on approval
of the proposed annexation. For ease of identification in
the referendum, the property to be annexed herein shall be
identified as Section "A". The referendum shall be worded
on the ballot as follows:
For annexation of property described in
Ordinance No. 2 - 91 of the Village of
North Palm Beach, Florida.
' Against annexation of property described in
Ordinance No. 2 - 91 of the Village of
North Palm Beach, Florida.

Section 4. The Village Clerk is hereby directed to
' publish notice of the referendum election at least once a
week for two (2) consecutive weeks immediately preceding the
date of the referendum and in a newspaper of general
circulation, and to otherwise comply with the requirements of
Fla. Stat. 171.011, et. seq.
Section 5. This Ordinance shall become effective
October 1, 1991, after approval by referendum of the proposed
annexation by a separate majority of those voting within the
Village and those voting within the property to be annexed
and in accordance with the other pertinent provision of
Chapter 171, Florida Statutes.

DESCRIPTION:
Begin at a point lying on the Northerly line of Government Lot 8, according to the Plat
of Subdivision of Government Lot 8, Section 4, Township 42 South, Range 43 East,
as recorded in Plat Book 18, Page 4, Public Records of Paim Beach County, Florida, at
its intersection with th8 Southwesterly corner of the Plat of Twelve Oaks, as recorded in
Plat Book 31, Pages 48 and 49, said Public Records; thence Northerly along the
Westerly line of said Plat of Twelve Oaks to a corner in said Westerly line; thence
Northeasterly. along said Westerly line and its Northeasterly prolongation thereof to its
intersection with the Southerly Right-of-Way line of State Road 703, as recorded in Road
Plat Book 5, Pages 12 and 13, said Public Records; thence Easterly along said Southerly
Right-of-Way line to its intersection with the Southerly prolongation of the Westerly line
of the Plat of Hidden Key, as recorded in Plat Book 27, Page 243, said Public Records;
thence Northerly along said Southerly prolongation to the Southwesterly corner of said
Plat of Hidden Key and a point on the North Right-of-Way line of said State Road No.
703; thence Easterly along said North Right-of-Way line, to a point at right angles to
centerline station 362 + 62.00 as said stationing is shown on the Plat of Bulkhead line in
the North end of the Waters of Lake Worth, as recorded in Plat Book 26, page 135, Public
Records of Palm Beach County, Florida; thence Southerly at right angles to said North
Right-of-Way line, a distance of 53.00 feet to a point on said centerline of State Road No.
703 and the Northerly prolongaiion of the bulkhead line as shown on said plat; thence
Southerly and Southwesterly, along said Northerly prolongation and said bulkhead line to
its intersection with the Easterly prolongation of the North line of said Government Lot 8;
thence Westerly along said Easterly prolongation and the North 11ne to said Southwest
comer of the Plat of Twelve Oaks and the Point of Beginning.
