SUBJECT: Anchorage Park Conceptual Plan Workshop Presentation
TBE Group of Tampa will be presenting the "final" conceptual plan for Anchorage Park at the
May 24, 2007 workshop. This conceptual plan has been in the planning stages for over ten years
and has been finally brought to fruition. The Recreation Advisory Board which has been
instrumental in the formulation of this final concept has given it their unanimous approval. The
Waterways Board has also endorsed the conceptual plan at joint meetings with the Recreation
Board.
The TBE Group presented forms of this plan during two public meetings held exclusively for the
project and the concept after slight changes was very well received. TBE Group will discuss the
conceptual plan, estimate costs and how the plan can be phased in through design work and
construction.
Recommendation:
The Administration recommends Council consideration and acceptance of the Anchorage
Park Conceptual Plan as presented. Village staff is additionally seeking approval to move
forward with phased implementation of the plan as funding permits and in accordance
with Village policies.
