10-11-1990 VC WS-MMINUTES OF WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11, 1990 Present: V. A. Marks, M. D. Walker, Village Clerk Kathleen Kelly, Deputy Village Clerk ROLL CALL Mayor Marks called the Workshop Session to order at 9:25 p.m. members of the Council and staff were present. BILL NO. 628 - CREATING A COUNTRY CLUB ADMINISTRATIVE BOARD All Discussion was held concerning a proposed ordinance creating a Country Club Administrative Board. The Village Attorney was directed to revise the earlier draft and incorporate various changes suggested by Council. Discussion on this item will continue at the reconvened workshop session of October 18, 1990. APPRAISALS - MILLING MARINA (HARBOUR POINT PUD) A discussion was held concerning appraisal proposals for Harbour Point PUD. Council agreed to accept the $150,000 proposal from Larry Smith, on behalf of Mr. Milling. The Village Attorney was directed to work out the details of time of payment. This item is on the Regular Session agenda of October 25, 1990. LONG TERM DISABILITY - SELF INSURANCE TRUST A proposal for an LTD self insurance trust for Village employees was presented by Mr. Bill McCreary. Staff was directed to get a comparative proposal from Aetna. This item will be addressed at a future workshop. COUNTRY CLUB RESTAURANT LEASE Discussion was held with C. J. Van Schaffelaar regarding the contract between the Village of NPB and Jongeneel and Jansen. Mr. Van Schaffelaar stated that he wants to continue his contract, contrary to any rumors that might indicate otherwise. Discussion will continue regarding the lease at the reconvened workshop of October 18, 1990. Due to the 11 p.m. curfew, the meeting was recessed until 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 18, 1990. M61011
