06-23-1994 VC WS-M"" MINUTES OF WORKSHOP SESSION OF THE VILLAGE COUNCIL OF NORTH PALM BEACH, FLORIDA HELD THURSDAY, JUNE 23, 1994 Present: Gail H. Vastola, Mayor Jeffrey H. Atwater, Vice Mayor V . A . Marks , M . D . , President Pro Tem Tom Valente, Councilman Larry Kelley, Councilman Dennis W. Kelly, Village Manager George W. Baldwin, Village Attorney Kathleen F. Kelly, Village Clerk ROLL CALL Mayor Vastola called the meeting to order at 7:53 p.m. All members of Council were present. All members of staff were present. RESOLUTION OPPOSING PUBLIC UTILITIES FEE TO FUND THE WELLFIELD PROTECTION REGULATORY PROGRAM Discussion was held concerning a draft resolution opposing a proposed amendment to the unified Land Development Code by Palm Beach County, providing for a public utilities fee as an increased source of funding for the County's Department of Environmental Resources Management Wellfield Protection Regulatory Program. This item will not be forwarded to the Regular Session agenda. RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CLUB CAR CONTRACT Discussion took place concerning a proposed resolution authorizing the Mayor and Village Clerk to enter into an equipment lease agreement with Associates Leasing, Inc., for the lease of sixty 1994 DS electric club car golf carts. Pending Mr. Baldwin's review of the proposed contract, this item will be forwarded to the Regular Session agenda of July 14, 1994. SOLID WASTE AUTHORITY INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT - DISPOSAL SITE Discussion was held concerning a proposed Interlocal Agreement between the Village of North Palm Beach and the Solid Waste Authority stating that all solid waste collected in the Village of North Palm Beach will be disposed of at a Solid Waste Authority facility. This item will be placed on the Regular Session agenda of July 14, 1994. HEIGHT OF HEDGES Discussion was held concerning amending Section 45-35-D, Walls and Fences, limiting the height of hedges which are located within forty feet of any body of water located within the Village. The Minutes of Workshop Session Held Thursday, June 23, 1994 Council followed the recommendation of the Planning Commission and will not take any action to limit the height of hedges.
