The Village Council met in budget workshop session on Wednesday, July 5, 1995 at 7:00 p.m. All
Council members were present except Councilman Larry Kelley. Staff present were Public Safety
Director and Acting Village Manager Bruce Sekeres, Finance Director Shaukat Khan, Fire Chief
J. D. Armstrong, Sergeant Jack Watrous, Medical Director Dr. Wolfe.
The following items were discussed:
Mayor Valente briefed the Council about the meeting with County Commissioner Karen Marcus
regarding the possibility of annexing Lost Tree into the Village. After some discussion, Council
directed the staff to obtain the necessary information and to start the annexation procedure.

After discussion, the Council directed Sgt. Watrous to bring back the prorated budget for this unit
instead of the whole year.
FIRE:
Council asked Fire Chief J. D. Armstrong to provide strictly fire call statistics.

This memorandum represents the minutes of the Village Council budget workshop. There being no
further business to come before Council, they stood adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
